Have any of you noticed that since y ou've had a enormous amount of weight loss that your monthly is worse? I mean the last 7 years since I had my daughter I have cramped or (excuse my words here) bled that much at all, matter of fact I never knew when it was here til it arrived. Now the last 2 months, I hurt in my back a week before and (excuse the bluntness) bleed like a stuck pig, it's aweful. I know when I was smaller (age 16) I had to be put on birth control due to painful, heavy monthlys, I guess it's possible that it can return since I lost the weight right? If so I can't take it. I may have to go back on BC again.urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Oh and I finally lost another pound after a month, wohooo Melissa 241.5/163/?? Goal-140

Hi Melissa. I know when I was young my periods were so bad. I threw up from it all the time. For about 2 months after my surgery my periods were really bad. Then they calmed down. But I'll have one month with bad cramps and no bleeding. Then No cramps and LOTS of bleeding. Then No cramp and no bleeding, and so on and so forth. Go to the Dr. and get one something. My docters always said there is no reason to have to deal with that pain and bleeding. So ask iof there is something you can take. I hope it works out for you. Erin 292/170/151

Thanks Erin, I actually made me an appt. for next Wednesday May 24th with my Ob-Gyn, so hopefully he will do something then. Do you take anything now for yours at all? Melissa 241.5/163/?? Goal-140

Melissa... I have had a ton of female problems since my surgery. I bled for over 30 days then off a few and back on for more than 20...well I finally have things normalized. I had to get on BC four times a day and then the nuvaring and now I am having a four day cycle. I had to see the OB a dozen times to get all straightened out...but now I feel much, much better. My doc put me on glucophage to also help with Poly Cycstic issues. Whew!!! Best of luck to you. If you have to take birth control...maybe you can try the nuvaring. Jenn

Does it cause less mentral cramps and heaviness of a period? That's my main reason for going on BC is to help with the pain and heaviness. I looked up Nuvaring but couldn't find that on there site. Melissa

I hadn't had a period since before my daughter was born in May of 99. I'm on depo and luckily I got the side affect of having no period not the other way around. About a week after surgery I had one day of bleeding, scared me pretty bad not having one in over 6 years. I've spotted since then but nothing lately. Doesn't really apply here but thought it might help knowing it's caused other kinds of girl problems too. Jen Taylor LAP-RNY 10/26/05 5'3" 300/206/150ish
