Hi gang, I think I have lost my focus and all the things I should be doing. I find that I can eat a little more and I also find myself eating all day long. My stress levels are through the roof right now and I can see that I am overdoing it. I also eat my protein but with alot of carbs. I just found out I am going on a cruise in July and I want another 30 pounds off by then. Its time to recommit for me. I still have 100 pounds to go and I need to refocus, recommit and remember this tool has saved my life. Thanks for listening. Deb 394/368/275/175

Deb...I think we are all at that point people saying how good we look...and the clothes feeling better, us feeling better...I am doing the same thing a little...but I said ok...tomorrow is another day....so we can do this...I am shooting for smaller numbers as we go on this journey...hopefully three pounds again this month...so far so good......Deb...you can do this...forget the carbs...protein, protein and more protein...and water and walk...you can do this... Deb, You've made great progress, but like many of us still have a way to go. Remember why you had this surgery in the first place; to be healthy! Think about everything you've put yourself, your family and your friends through; you owe it to yourself and those who love you to continue to work the program! I don't know about you, but when I have carbs I want MORE. I really try to limit my carb intake because it's a real trigger for me. And I try to make sure that the carbs I eat are good, complex carbs. So stick with multi-grain breads/crackers, whole-wheat pasta, beans/legumes, etc., and stay away from things made with processed flour and sugar. You didn't come this far to sit down and settle. Recommit yourself right now, today, this very minute. Not tomorrow. Not next week. NOW. You can do this; we all can do this! I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you push through this challenging time. Kellie Lap RNY 10/25/2005 396/259/165?

I'm with you on the stress levels. I'm battling migraines daily because of my stress. I'm eating too many carbs and I know that's not good. I'm ready to recommit as well. I'll listen anytime because remember we're all in this together. So let's recommit together. I'm going to NYC in June and a cruise in October. I would like to have another 90 pounds off before I go on the cruise. Thanks for listening to me as well. Take care and talk to you soon. keke 368/286/175???? 28w/18w/14 or 16 misses???

Well Deb, everyone's advice to you is good - right on the money, so I'm going to send you a big hug ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((DEB)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))). I know how you feel - gosh dang it if carbs just didn't exist!!!!!!!!!!!!! I so successfully avoided them as a new post op - now they try to creep back into my day and I just can't let them! I used to devour chocolate when I was PMS'ing, now I don't crave the candy - but I crave what I call "salty/crunchy"! I cannot have chex mix or any type of pringles near me - they are a huge problem for me. I think we all have our "thing" that will torment us forever. But - we got this far, and it wasn't easy - so we just have to buckle down and........................... JUST SAY NO TO BAD CARBS!!!!!!!!! We're with ya! Hang in there! Carol

Deb - Thanks for the post, I am loosing focus too. I am doing great as far as loosing goes but ....... I figured out I can eat cake and eclairs really bad. I have to reconnect and refocus. I am really gla to hear after reading the posts that I am not alone with this problem and that likely it is a timing thing. For some reason - I can fight a timing thing better than the craving for the sweets. Thanks for the post! Ann

You can do it Deb! Put a picture of your cruise destination where you can see it when you're tempted. Or, buy yourself a new bathing suit for the trip. Keep going! Marcia 251/152/130
