Topic: All scales are different!!
My surgery was on October 25th. I started at 363 pounds. Acoording to the scale at my house, I am 265.5. My nutrionist has me at about 261, but my doctor's scale said 277. Anyway, I was discouraged but I am just sticking with my scale at home. I feel like I have stalled somewhat, but I haven't been as active as I should and I have been eating between meals. I have made up my mind to get back on track because I still have a long way to go. Even though I had a small set back, I am very pleased with my results so far.

CONGRATS! No....I dont know how to do the 100 pound mark by your profile. I'm not sure I've even seen it. You arent referring to the century club thing, right? I'm trying to figure that one out. Good job! Susan

I'm battling the ulcer again -- havent taken my meds like I should have, and its killing me -- so I havent been eating much of anything the past few days. But I am trying to get back in the groove before I get dehydrated. I have another (4th one) endoscopy tomorrow morning at 7am. Surgery: 10-6 Starting weight: 288 Most recent weight: 184 Lost: 104 I was eating quite abit of stuff. I eat red meats and have since early on. (lean) I ate pork chops, chicken, beef, turkey, ham, salads, lots of veggies and fruits, pizza, cereals, cheeses, nuts, soups, chilis, spaghetti, mac-n-cheese, lots of stuff..... Still working on the water and the protein. That is a daily battle even still ................... ugh!

Sorry to butt in, but I was excited to read about your tailbone... I have been trying to investigate this myself, since I'm experiencing it as well... I fell on my booty when I was 13 years old, and I remember it was very painful and I couldn't walk right for a while there... didn't go to the doctor, though. Anyway, through the years, it has bothered me only VERY SELDOM, mainly if I was sitting on a very hard surface. I have lost weight before (about 50 pounds) and it didn't affect me. However, after surgery... my tailbone is seriously bothering me now. It doesn't have to be a hard surface, basically if I'm sitting anywhere for a while, it hurts! (and then, like you say, sometimes it doesn't...). Plus, I don't know how it's supposed to feel, but it does feel like it's OUT THERE... I thought it was just me! I have recently ordered a couple of cushions for my office, the car, and home... I want to sit down without pain http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/orwetacu.html During my fruitless research, all I could find was this question, with no answer: http://www.****yx.org/personal/2003/caroline.htm So... very interesting... it certainly seems to be happening to us post-ops, but nobody knows why! The hip bone thing. I can't sleep on my back, so I've learned to deal with my hip bones hurting... luckily it's not too bad, but I definitely can relate. I remember the one time I was lying in bed and felt something hard a little above my stomach... I was freaking out... then I realize it was my RIB!!! LOL! I love finding out bones I never knew I had... Oh, and before I leave you, I thought I'd share something I found with you all: http://store.bariatriceating.com/stallers.html OK, I'm outta here Angie (RNY-GB 29 Jun 04) 280/182.5/140 http://www.geocities.com/tiger_angie

Finally, I can say I have joined the century club!!! I am so excited. I have only 10 pounds to go before I am no longer obese, just "overweight"! Does any one know how to get the 100 pound mark by your profile? I have a freind who has lost nearly 150 pounds and she told me to ask you all, since she can't remember. My hubby (who had surgery on the same day I did) has lost over 120 pounds. He looks so good and has more energy than he did when he was 20 years younger! I think my biggest fear is that I will stop losing weight aor start gaining it.
