Hi Hun!
I was ADDICTED to anything diet sodas preop. Now I can't stand them. I drink them and I feel icky, no pain, just icky. I am addicted to home brewed sweet iced tea, with splenda. That's all I drink is iced tea. You might want to try 7/11 Diet Pepsi Slurpee.. yummy!

Looks like I am yet again on the high side of the group...I usually eat between 1000 and 1200 cals a day (to my defense, the dietican said that it was where I should be so I really didn't worry about it too much until now...).
Yesterday was definately a "not so good day". For breakfast, I had a protein bar (220 cals, 21 g Protein, 7g Fat, 14 carbs), then for lunch I had a can of Progresso ready soup with 1 serving of Fat free Mozzarella cheese mixed in, for snack in the afternoon another protein bar (100 cal, 10g Protein), then dinner was chicken and veggies, unfortunately then I got the munchies that night and had 1/2 a bannanna (darn those bannanas...they're just so tasty...) and half of a protein bar.
Total calories = 1245 give or take a bit...
Protein= somewhere around 85 gms.

B- 1 snack size yogurt parfait from Mc'D's
L- Toppings off a Wendy's mediteranean Salad
S- 1 slice Turkey
D- 3 oz. chicken w/ 1/2 c chickpeas
S- 1 strawberry dipped in cocolate w/ light coolwhip.
Water 64 oz.

Yesterday was a good one. I feel so good that I got my carbs/snacking undercontrol!!
B - 1 egg on a slice of low carb toast with a slice of cheese
NO SNACKS
L - 2 oz roasted chicken, provolone cheese, 1 tbsp bbq sauce and some scallion wrapped in a low carb/high protein oat & fiber pita bread (the bread was a bit too much)
S - 1 wedge Laughing Cow Swiss cheese
D - same as lunch, but I cut the pita in half
No snacks after dinner! I drank about 60 oz of water.
Totals: 688 cal, 37 fat, 29 carbs and 69 protien. Phew - those numbers look GREAT compared to the past few days.

B - low-fat, low-carb, high-protein, low-taste yogurt (called skyr in Icelandic)
L - Fish and salad
D - Meat and potatoes
S - Protein shake
It was about 800 calories in all. It was a low for me because I have been eating about 1000 calories per day. At first I panicked when I saw that I was averaging about 1000-1100 calories per day but I don't want my body to go into starvation mode so I didn't mind for more than few hours Today I plan to eat about 1000 calories and to be as active as I can be

So, yesterday...
Protein shake mixed with 10oz ff milk (30g protein)
8 BBQ Soy Crispy Minis 3 protein
with 1/4 c chicken salad (chicken breast, pickle, mayo, cheddar)
1 can diet Iced Tea
Same shake as above
2 oz chicken breast, dipped lightly in Ranch dressing
1/4 c cucumber, dipped in Ranch
3 sf freezies
hrm... lots of water, crystal light, oh, and 2 strawberries.

Yep, I drink it too. You are not alone here, babe. My post-op diet said that I could begin having carbonation after the four month mark. I did try it slightly before that, but only a sip of someone elses. Now, I have my own diet pepsi or coke... not always every day... but I do have it!

OMG I can't get off these carbs. Yesterday was even worse than the day before! I munched all day - had the hungry horrors. I need to get this under control. I start out with such good intentions at the beginning of the day. I can't wait until those banana chips are GONE. I will never buy them again...I can't stop picking at them!
B- 3/4 c Kashi cereal (30 carbs...that sucks, but I needed the fiber 10g and protein 13g) with 1/2 skim milk
S - banana chips
L - 3 slices deli turkey wrapped around a slice of canteloupe
S - more banana chips!
D - 2 oz chicken with sauce and cheese and 1/2 c spaghetti
S - 1 c popcorn & 1 c skim milk
Totals are shameful: 937 calories, 24 fat, 123 CARBS!!!!!, 70 protein.
I am happy with the fat and protein, but I don't like to go over 700 calories a day...and what are the carbs supposed to be, like 30 or something? The certeal, banana chips, pasta, popcorn...I'm pathetic.
At least I went for a good walk, pushing the stroller with 2 kids = about 75 pounds. What a workout!
Ok - I know I sai dthis yesterday, but here I go again..."I will try to get my carbs under control today!"

I know most of yall dont know what a Krystal burger is but its kinda like a White Castle burger (is that what it is). Little mini burgers.
Bananas are very high in Carbs Jennifer but they are so good for you... I need to eat a banana instead of a Krystal... Hahaha
