Topic: RE: OCTOBER ROLL CALL
Hi I had surgery Oct. 5 and I haven't really lost for over a month and a half. That is starting to drive me crazy!! I don't come here a whole lot because I have been really busy latley but I was starting to swear that the loss had stopped and thought tonight I would stop in and see how others where doing. I found ROLL CALL and thought what better place. As I read I realized that I am average with everone else. That is what I want to be average Not to small Not to big. So I am leaving here happier than when I came. Please keep posting Roll Call See it helped me (isn't that what it is for?) Thanks Shell

As for me I know that if you are not losing the weight as fast as others are it can make you depressed. But each of us has a different metablosim, and weight loss can come slower, or faster.

Current Weight: 240
Total weight loss: 137
There are those periods of stand stills, and the fear that the weight loss will stop. As for me. Surgery eliminated my hunger. I can't seem to eat as much as I need so I suppliment my diet with a protein shake. I have learned from various diets how to enhance the flavor of the drink, by adding sugar free chocalate syrup, and instant decaffinated coffee. I make it frothy with shaved ice. I still have problems eating some meats. And It has been a real chore to slow down when I eat. I will personally be glad when I finally reach my weight loss goal. The main thing I try to focus on is that it is not as important how fast the weight comes off, as long as it does. Hope the rest of you continue the good work, and be encouraged.....
Topic: Just got back from my surgeons and guess what!!!!
IM AT GOAL!!!!! My surgeon said hello skinny come on in. My labs are fine which i was a lil worried about. I lost 110 lbs or a lil more depending on what weight i go with as a start weight.
Never thought someone say skinny and think or referr to me in the same day. Im wearing a size 10 to 12 which is good for me as im almost 6 feet with size ten feet.

I vote to keep the roll call. It gives me a reality check to the range of loss for others in the same time frame - see if I'm in the ballpark considering age, starting weight, gender, exercise level, eating & water habits,. etc. Otherwise, would have to do more looking through profiles to get that info.

Topic: Lap Band - 10/12/04 - so slow - help?
Hi All,
I had Lap Band surgery late last year and have only lost 35 pounds. I have had 5-6 fills. The last one was 2 weeks ago and I lost 7 pounds that following week. Since then (as of today) have remained the same. I was hoping to get some help here. I did not get another fill while in the office today because I cannot imagine eating LESS than I am already.
Any advice? My email is [email protected].
Thanks so much for any ehlp.
