Hello,
My name is Danielle and I am new here. I had my surgery on Oct. 13, and I am down 102 lbs. Starting weight was 290. I live in Germany (my hubby is Air Force). I have 3 kids...Tyler 8, Amanda 5 and Zachary 2. I just wanted to say hello. I am enjoying the group so far!
Thanks~

Topic: RE: Hello....where is everyone...lets give this board something to talka bout
Well I have only lost 80 pounds and am still 58 away from my gosl but I feel great. I have had no complications and nothing makes me sick or anything. I have gone from a toght 26 to 18/20. My only complaint is that I wi**** were moving as fast as the others that had surgery the same month as I did! I start to worry sometimes that I will never make it to my goal, the weight loss has slowed down alot. My self confidence is great now too! Husband says I have changed too much and have an attitude but I think I it's just that I feel more self worth and won't take any crap anymore!

Sorry to reply so late. I enjoy reading what other October 04's are experiencing so I think it's only right that I participate in keeping this board alive.
There are many changes in my life since surgery. Most notably, my self-esteem has sky rocketed and my confidence is opening unimaginable doors for me. Secondly, my health has improved. I no longer have high blood pressure or joint pain. I can walk without getting winded and I can turn cartwheels like a 6 year old again. Thirdly, I look good from the inside out. There are so many blesses I've received over these past 8 months that I cannot name them all. I have my life back again but only better.

Thanks for your response Deborah! I've been at the same weight for about a month and a half. I'm down to 133 but have 13lbs to go until goal. These last several pounds are stubborn. I'm grateful for what I have lost but am getting a little discouraged.

Topic: RE: OCTOBER ROLL CALL
I just joined and I like looking at the roll call. It helps me gauge where everybody is, etc compared to myself.
I had the surgery on Oct 13. I weighed 290. As of today, I weigh 188 so that is a loss of 102. I went from a size 28 to a 16 now! I can't wait to have the weigh keep falling off!
Thanks!
Danielle

Topic: RE: Who here is having issues with the spouce after wls
I have finally cut ties with my ex. We had been together for almost 14 years and have a 13 year old daughter together. You would not even believe all the crap I put up with, like cheating, alcohol and drug abuse, lying, etc. I guess I just felt like I couldn't do any better, and even though we broke up time and time again, I would always get lonely and take him back. Not this time! I know this time is different. I have more confidence and not only am I not taking him back, I am refusing to date any other loser. My motto is "if you settle for less, you'll GET less". So, I am not settling. And I finally have peace and harmony in my life, and that is worth more to me than anything. So, when a good guy finally does come along, I will know he was worth waiting for, and I will definitely appreciate him. Like your posts, Deborah. I agree with a lot of the things you write about, even tho I don't write back. I too have gotten acrylic nails, eyebrows waxed, etc. Things girls do. I never put much thought or effort into myself before. This is MY time! Boy, am I enjoying it! Good luck to you all!

Topic: RE: OCTOBER ROLL CALL
Well, my first time posting on this board.
Pre-surgery :467.1
I wasn't weighed the day of the surgery so I don't know if I lost or gained between the first weight and surgery. But as of now, I have lost 147.1 pounds! I am now down to 320. At my six month check-up, I had lost 107, so I think i am doing very well. I like the roll call. It helps me to see that there are others who started where I was and are in the same "boat" I am!
