Hi! Kathy, Don't you mean you're 8mts out not six. My surgery was Oct 14, 2004 & if I added the months up correctly its 8mts. Which is ok cause you're right on track. Here are my stats: Surgery date: 10/14/04 Beginning wt: 310 Wt day of surgery: 276 Current wt: 174 Wt Loss: 136 (Includes total weight even before surgery. Congrats to you on your journey, its a wild ride thats for sure. I agree with you that I would do it again in a heart beat. Take care and best wishes for you and yours and many happy days!

Hi Deborah At just over 8 months out I have lost 129 lbs. I never thought it would be possible. I came home yesterday after a 3 week vacation in Spain and I actually wore a bikini on the beach Last year I also went to Spain for a vacation and I wouldn't even wear shorts! I am really happy with the results of this surgery. The only thing that I can complain about is that I get sick at least once a month. It's all sorts of flu that I seem to be contracting. I am taking all my vitamins and my bloodwork shows that my vitamin levels are even stronger than they were before I had the surgery. I have been wondering if this is just my body getting used to this big change At least I hope it is... Good luck to you on your journey Kolla 304/175/140

Hi Christine: I was told early on by my nurse not to compare my success by the number of pounds I lost in comparison to others. We are all different. Enjoy this process and be proud of every inch and pound that melts away.Stay encouraged!

I have been on several plateau's lately ... I read somewhere the other day, to increase water intake and protein. That's what I've been doing, and I've finally lost 2 more pounds. I suppose that that is what did it -- cuz I havent changed anything else .... ... and havent been exercising like I should .... Susan

I just wanted to say that I am now six months out and feel great!! I had a double hernia repair the end of April and that slowed me down for awhile ( not the weight loss, only me!!) I would do it all over again, just to feel as good as I do right now. It was truly worth all I went through and I am so happy to be on the losing side!! Keep up the good work everybody!! Surgery date: 10/04/04 Beginning weight: 259 lbs Current weight: 176 Weight loss: 83 lbs.
