Yup! I know most of us are good girls and boys and practice the rules to the best of our abilities... I hope the rant reaches those who may BY CHOICE not be doing so... you know? Angie http://www.geocities.com/tiger_angie

I made it! It is so amazing. I am now 5 pounds from being "normal". I posted my pictures on my profile but one of my pictures is gigantic (and I am Gigantic in the picture) and I need to figure out how to make it smaller! I can't believe I got that large! Life is better now! Anne

Yes, I have experienced that and by the end of the day I felt so guilty. I realized that I was using food to cope with difficult feelings as I did in the past. I had slipped back into old eating habits that fast. The most important thing for me was to recognize the problem, be honest with myself and another for accountability, and start over by doing the next right thing, which is following the pouch rules. I hope this helps. Taking It One Day At A Time, Tracy

Dear Deborah - I had my surgery 10/6/05. I weighted 344 pounds at 5' 6" and I was sooo unhappy. When I find myself eating too many times during the day when I am not at work, I have a picture of myself when I was so fat-on the fridge. I look at that picture and remind myself how fat and unhappy I was, I find something to do and drink water. I weight 209 pounds as of last week. I only weight myself only once a month. I am very happy now. I am NOT going to be fat again. This is my last chance in life. Helen

Hi Angie! You're right, I am one of the members who have a hard time getting protein in; do ok with the vitamins and I try to comply with my doctor's protocol daily. Even though I have a hard time getting it down, does not mean that I do not appreciate the wonderful gift my doctor gave me. I believe that even though the doctors do not understand us; they do know that they have saved us and for the most part; there are more wls members out there following their doctor's protocol as required even if we complain about it.

Thank YOU for getting the reason for my post. As time moves on, it's easier to start forgetting, and I personally appreciate reading stuff like this to help me refocus and stay on track! Hugs, Angie http://www.geocities.com/tiger_angie

Thanks so much!!!!!!! I needed that kick in the butt! Sometimes it's so easy to forget what a GIFT this surgery is and take it for granted! Thanks for the reminder!
