Jayne, I understand totally. I've been seeing this guy for a couple months now, but it still shocks me to hear him say I'm tiny or to have him lift me up...I still expect him to drop me and end up with a broken back! Also nice to weigh less than the guy you are will and have his clothes hang on you I haven't had to deal with a guy saying he liked me larger, but I'm sure it'll happen to some...Everyone is attracted to a different type... Good luck! ~Lisa -120 lbs 291/171 at goal 10/7/04 lap RNY

You are a winner if you lose 1 pound as far as I am concerned! You are doing better than me, and I feel and look great!!!! Don't look at the scale, look at the way your clothes fit and feel, that you can even exercise as much as you are doing is a plus!! Can you have done the same at 292?? I think not! Be blessed and don't stress. Think of those who cannot get the surgery.. keep up what you are doing and look at yourself and do not compare with others. I did tha and sabotaes myself, now I am off this plauteau and am losing agin and will be at my goal weight in 15 pounds.. so I am thankful.. I did not have 100 pounds to lose, just 70 and so far I wen beyond at 75 and want to lose at least 10-15 more before reconstructive surgery. Best of Luck Jayne

Topic: RELATIONSHIP HAVOC!!!!!
okay, you get a new body and a new man pops up in your life!!!! I had an active dating life before but now, I am in a committed relationship.. Well, I tell you, I was honest regarding the surgery and the scars etc. showed him some pictures, and what did he say?? What was wrong before, I liked you larger.... Well to say the least, I was shocked. then I siad to myself, was it because men are now at the car when he leaves? I am getting a lot of attention? I may leave him (which I am considering) for greener pastures? Well to make a long story short!!! Ladies, enjoy your bodies and get ready for the men, and try to stay away from relationshiops until you can handle the new you. Its so nice now , when it's cold and my man offers me a coat or shirt, that I fit in it!!!!!!! and he is small.. Just thought that I would share this.. Is anyone else going through this?

Topic: RE: Taking surgery for granted
You have come to the right place. Were you an emotional eater?? Stress can definately take it's toll as well as depression. I am sorry to hear about your father, but is there someone that you can talk to about your loss? a support or grief group? One of the other things is that you get with your support group and talk about these issues as well as your psycologist. Don't take this for granted as I have seen the results. You lost 89 pounds, and that is fantastic, get the help you need to keep you on track. Best of luck and remember God will either strenghen your back, or lighten your load. Best of Luck

Topic: RE: HELP, I AM NOT LOSING LIKE OTHER PEOPLE!!!
Thanks, things have changed so much. I finally am losing and went down and am now 70 pounds lighter. Don't know what happened. Yea I am 5' 8" and did not have to loose 100 pounds as I had medical complications. Things are much better and I am dipping in some 10's. Now all I need is the tummy tuck and some arms, thighs, neck and breast reduction, yes I am tired of them, went from a 44 DDD to a 40 DD, want them smaller.. Anyway thanks for the support!!

Topic: RE: 1 year out- Happy Anniversary to me
WOW, I was only 238 when I went in and I am 5' 8" so the Dr. said that I would not lose as fast, as I did not have the 100 pounds of weight to lose. The sad thing is that I lost to fast and was told to slow down!!! now that was a first. I think that with the tummy tuck I will be at least a 9 and no less as I am tall and older and I am running out of social time for my calender... Dates all the time!!!! I had them before, but it's much better now, if you know what I mean. To be rid of the diabetes and heart complications is all that I was looking for, the weight loss was just a plus. Thanks and good luck,!!!

Erica, The last thing you need right now is to beat yourself up over this. You have done an awesome job and should celebrate the changes you have made in order to have made it this far. If you want to lose more, just stick to the rules as best you can, and wait. I am sure it will come off. Don't be discouraged though. Just stick with it and be patient. This is easier said than done. Are you able to attend any support group meetings? That might help you gain some friends that help you down this path. It's easier when you have someone by your side cheering you on. You are going to be successful. Don't worry. All that negative thinking is going to weigh you down emotionally. I understand though because I do it too. Just try to see the good in the situation and celebrate that. Then everything else will seem better. Good luck to you and God Bless you! Patty
