I have to comment, the SKIN THING" that is a big issue. I am older and although I look great in clothes, when I take them off, I cringe. I have a hangind stomach not that bad as I exercize. My arms are a sight and I tell you, the scars well, I can live with them. It is so important that a person look at the skin thing before they have the surgery, they have just one thing on their mind and it's understandable, but when the end results come, if you don't have the money for the surgery, you are somewhat in the same boat, but you have a motor. Best of luck and if you have some information on skin removal that is affordable, then please e-mail me [email protected] Thanks and good luck Jannie 256/175 10/12 fomr 18-20W

Erica, I have to admit, that in your shoes to hear those words is like a slap in the face. I thought that I had a problem and did not lose and then all of a sudden it came and I started going back down. Are you eatingcorrectly?? Your surgeon was partly right, you lost over 100 pounds and he is happy, but for us who are there, those are almost fighting words. I have no advice other than keep doing what you are doing, and keep me posted and as always we all will support you. He is right, be thankful for what you lost and focus on what you need to do to lose more. Just don't sabotage and undo all that you have done my sista!!! Jannie 256/175 18-20W 10/12

GREAT! Sara, I wish I had lost that much. I only had to lose 60 and I have lost almost 75. I think that I am about there and when the cosmetic surgery is done about another 15-20 pounds will be gone and I should be done. You did great, I started lower than most and was not 100 pounds overweight, but I had the health issues. Needless to say LIFE IS GREAT!!!! Jannie 10-4-05 -75

Thanks Lisa, it's good to hear that. Needless to say that my Best Friend has only seen me 2 times in a year since my surgery, I guess she is now intimidated as she was always the center of attraction. Come to think of it, I look better.. Have you had that experience, or people purposely not saying something as they are jealous. Now when I go into a store, I don't have the money to buy new clothes, but I get off just picking up a size 12 or 10 in some cases and laughing because I can't afford to buy. I used to dress my azz off.. now I am fading and can't shop. Good luck and keep me posted.

Hello all..I am a year out today, 10-27-2005 I am very pleased with the way things have turned out. I have lost 95 pounds!! so down from 220 to 125. I have never weighed 125 in my whole adult life. I remember weighing 136 when I was in 6th grade... I would like to say congrats to all of us who were so brave to take this journey and hopefuly add healthy years to our lives. This is not the easy way out by any means or a quick fix. We have had to work hard to get here and we deserve a little pat on the back. Happy Anniversay to all of you!!! Happy October or is that Skinnytober now!!!! God Bless Sarah
