i have been out 2 months and i have lost 75 pounds but i feel good and i am doing more then i have in years. i wanna say thanx to dr.curry how has given me a second chance at life!!!!!!

Bless every single one of your dear, sweet hearts. I have been FREAKING OUT because I've not lost a stinken' ounce in two weeks. "How can I fail already???" I've been barking in my head. "Did I get sliced open and my guts rearranged for NOTHING??" Thanks to you all, I feel much better. The stinking scale will start going down again, it will, it will, it will. The hardest part is all the people that know about the surgery and keep asking me how much I've lost...day to day...like it's going to change....

WOW-WEE WOW WOW Sheryl!!!!! Way top go girl.. My surgery was on Oct 8th. I have lost around 40 pounds but I still wear the same 22 jeans. They were thght and now they fit good. I don't have scales so I can't say what my loss is for sure. I had lost 27# at my 6 week check up. Congradulations, Barbara

Looks like I'm a little behind today. I just haven't been very hungry. yesterday ended well. 755 calories, 53 carbs and 63.7 protein. Today... oatmeal + raisins.. 118 cals. 22 carbs. 2.8 protein 1 oz. peanuts...... 170....... 5........... 7 2 oz. meat.......... 151....... 0........... 14 1 oz. ham+cheese..80........ 1.5......... 8 Total...........................577...... 42.3....... 33 Happiest of Hollidays, Barbara 267/256/217/126

Hello Everyone, Here is what I had today: Breakfast - 3 pre-cut cubes kraft sharp cheese lunch - 6 lil smokies with bbq sauce snack - 1 slice cheese (ok, im saying it again, need to get away from processed cheese) dinner - 1/4 cup chick stirfry w/steamed rice snack - 4 pre-cut cubes kraft sharp cheese I seriously need to start eating my protein bars again.... i know im not getting all my protein.. and i should be... but I feel great... but will start eating at least one protein bar a day.. Hi Sabrina, This is very common.... I did a little research on how to help control ketosis and here are a few ideas that I found.. They seem to be working and it's not too bad... I didnt want to offend anyone with the bad breath.. Hope it helps... Good luck... Brush your teeth with a paste of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) and water to keep your breath fresh. This will neutralize the acids in which the bacteria that cause bad breath and tooth decay thrive. Using an antiseptic mouthwash will also help. Chew fresh parsley after eating a meal.. It contains an antiseptic that kills bacteria in the mouth. It's effective against garlic and onions too, as are mint leaves. Chewing dill seeds after a meal will also freshen your breath. IT works just as well as parsley and some say it tastes better.. Dental floss will dislodge decaying food particles that become stuck between the teeth. These decaying food particles are a home to all sorts of bacteria that can harm your gums and cause nasty smells and tastes in your mouth. Leslie

Hi everyone, I had a wonderful WOW moment this afternoon. Before surgery I was 26/28 in stretch jeans. I decided that it was time to get a couple of new pairs. I tried on 24's, too big. Tried 22's too big. Tried 20's AND THEY FIT and were not stretch either. WOO-HOO. I cannot remember the last time I was able to fit in 20's. Wonderful day today!!!! Sheryl

Congrats Leslie I thought i would never hit 50 lbs also, I found out yesterday that i was down 50 lbs. I know you feel great. You are so right about not guage your loss on the loss of others. I was so depressed today when i found out a girl that had her surgery 2 weeks after mine was down 74 lbs, but then i started to think 50 lbs off me is alot of weight i look forward to the next 50. I am with you anything under 200 lbs is wonderful. WE WILL GET THERE!!!! COngrats and Merry christmas!! Lisa 382/332 down 50 goal 150-170
