Its always your choice what you put in your mouth as it is mine too. Just because you were able to eat normally doesnt mean you had to. I dont know too much about the lap band but isnt it kinda needed to get the fills every so often? I hope you can get thru this. Once we start getting depressed it just gets worse cause we all tend to turn to food for comfort. Get back on track - I believe in you. You can do this!

You need to always watch what you are eating. It is especially harder around the holidays. People making candy and all these parties to attend. The worst part of all of this is the muching/grazing. I found myself going back up right around Thanksgiving and I freaked out. I wont allow myseld to get over 160. If I even start heading that way, I star****ching what I am eating. Going back to the basics. Water - protein... This is not an easy journey and once we have lost - dont ever think we wont regain. Its always possible and you have to want to not want to be fat again. I read someone on the main board once saying: Nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels. Although I could disagree - I wont.. Life is so much better now. Its just a learning process. We are all still learning together.

You need to go back to the high protein thicker foods. Banana nut bread is not fulling at all. Try to go back to chicken and turkey and stuff like that. Get away from the carbs. I too felt myself slipping back and had to remind myself of where I started and I tell you what sister.. I dont want to be that fat ass anymore. Step away from the munching and if you must snack - make it protein of some sort. Beef Jerky, Ham and Cheese Roll Ups, even brocolli or cauliflower. Even though something can be sugar free - it is not calorie free. I know I cant have stuff like that in my house or I will eat it all. If you must have a peice - make it- eat a peice and give the rest to your neighbors. Dont give in to that junk.. You can do this!

I need help!!!!! I am still very much outta control. I am snacking all the time. I have gained and I am very depressed...this all started with Thanksgiving. I think I need to go thru detox or sumthin. Is anyone else having this problem. I made a sugar free banana bread and over 3 days practically ate it all myself!!!!!! I feel like a failure. I read all the newbie posts on the main board and get sooooo down wishing that I could go back to that stage, but lately I havent been getting that "full" feeling much. OH the guilt!!!!! Can anyone help me??? Laura

Susan, I think that this is very normal. I got the same thing when I went in for my 1 year check up. My levels were slightly below normal and doc just wants to be on the safe side. Don't be bummed out about it. At least your surgeon seems like she is concerned about your well being, and it gives you a chance to keep yourself in check and to show off at the office some more. It's always nice to hear that everything is as it should be in your body. Dont sweat it girl, you are just as normal as can be!!!
