Pete,
I see we had our surgery on the same day. First of all welcome to October's Message Board. I check the message board everyday. I am alittle disappointed by the few postings that we get but none the less still excited. I just wish more October Babies would post here along with the main message boards. Because I love to see how everything is going for my fellow October Babies. We should be able to help one out with different ideas. Also to help one another over come problems and plateaus.....Yes, I had hit a bad plateau for almost 4 weeks. But I am now over that. In fact on Christmas i've hit the #50 point. I never thought I could or would ever loss 50# in 2 months....Hugs to myself. Well I hope your experience is also a successful one. It's not all easy but it's worth it in the long run. Good luck and have a Happy New Year!!

Topic: RE: What did you eat today?
OH My Goodness!! I was reading over the previous "what did you eat today posts" and I can't believe the things you guys can manage to eat (I'm jealous!). I have had 3 didlitations since surgery on Oct 13th and cant eat any meat or juice. A normal day of eating for me is still only about 2-3 tbl spoons of food total for the day. I am lucky if I can get in about 24 oz of fluid a day. I eat cottage cheese, cheese, broth, mashed potatos, and dry cheerios. That pretty much covers everything I can stomach. Is everyone able to eat but me?

Topic: What did you eat today?
Hello all - hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Here is what I ate yesterday:
B - spinach quiche (no crust)
L - 1.5 scallops wrapped in bacon, 1/4 c steamed carrots
D - 1/2 grilled cheese on light oat & fiber bread
S - 1 wedge laughing cow cheese & 3 whole wheat crackers
protien drink
Drank alot of skim milk all day - probably about 24 oz!!! I have been craving milk so much and I can drink it pretty quick...feels so good to take a gulp of something cold. I can do this with my protein drink as well, but if I take a gulp of water, I get such cramps!? Weird, huh?
I did really well over Christmas - well, I ate a bit too much at our traditional Christmas Eve chinese food fest. I had 1/2 beef teriyaki and some pork egg foo yong SOOOO good but too greasy with that gravy and I felt a bit yucky for about an hour. Christmas day I had a little prime rib (my first time cooking it and it was GREAT!) and a bite of potatoes and some carrots. HOW cool is it to be able to walk away from a holiday meal without feeling like I am going to explode and all that guilt?! NICE.......

I have always been extremely regular AND extremely light - I would go exactly 28 days, and it usually only lasted one day (lucky me, I know). Well, I am currently on my second period this month and they last 4 - 5 days now and are heavy - for me, not as heavy as you all are describing, but for me.....

Boy, could you guys have saved me a LOT of boo-boo's!

Hi Lisa,
I think the craziness in the cycle has something to do with the weight loss. I have heard that hormones rest in the fat cells and when the fat cells go away--the hormones get mess up. Don't know if it is true or not, but like the ladies above who have posted-my cycle has been a mess since I began losing weight.
Good luck, and happy new year.

Thanks for the reassurance, guys!
And it may actually be helping--I'm under 260 today (259.5) for the first time in years!!!

I am with y'all. I had mine for two weeks post op (with large bleeding and lining), none for 4 weeks and just had it for over a week again. Ugh....
