Topic: RE: protein drinks
Hi Denise, I like the ones I get from bariatriceating.com, they have some that are fruity and I don't think that they are to pricey. For 2 scoops you get 46 g of protien. I like fuzzy Navel and I just got Roadside lemonade I haven't tried it yet but it smells good. Good luck ttfn Mary
Topic: RE: Stuck pig? Anyone? (WARNING: MENSTRUAL CONVERSATION)
Thanks, Angie. But I'm sure that it's the combination of my long-standing PCOS and the hormones from my multitude of fat cells causing the ruckus. It has subsided and is gone now (started new packet of pills Sunday).
I did find, though, that with Atkin's dieting, my period came and went very regularly. I am sure that the insulin resistance commonplace with PCOS was at the root of that. Perhaps my periods will regulate on their own as I continue to lose weight and someday I won't require the BCPs to regulate my messed up hormones... I dream of that day...
Thanks for your input, though! I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

My nutritionist wants me at 800-1200 calories, so this may look like a lot of food to some of you.
B: Protein Bar, SF Kool-aid with Benefiber and 20 grams of liquid protein
L: 4 ounces George Forman grilled chicken breast, 1 Tbsp taco sauce, 1/4 cup cantaloupe
S: Sport Cookie (high in protein and fiber)
D: 1 cup shrimp, 1/4 cup onions, and 1/4 cup mushrooms sauteed in Pam with garlic salt and lemon pepper
S: SF Kool-aid with 20 grams of liquid protein
I know it looks like a lot of protein, but I am strength-training 3 days/week, and my trainer wants it high.
Topic: RE: Sleeping problems...
SOme of what you describe sounds like the sleep debt situation you get into with sleep apnea. I know that now that I am working out with a trainer 3 days/week and walking 2 miles the other days, it's all I can do to make it to a "decent" bedtime.
Hang in there!

I'm like you. I can't each much. I complained to the doctor that even getting 1/3 of a cup of food is too much. He says I'm alright. He said the key is how I look and feel. It still bugs me at times when I see what others can eat. My diet consists of (3 Tablespoons) of either cottage cheese. chili, or blended chicken into gravy on top of 1/4 cup mashed potatoes. I had forgotten peanut butter for the last couple of weeks but started it yesterday. Its kind of a snack or to settle my stomach. I put it on a teaspoon and eat it. I can drink 1/2 cup of soups but they can't have noodles in them. Just plain soup. I've tried eggs a couple of times but they came right up. So I'm with you. Can't each much of anything. Right now hot tea is how I'm getting my liquids. Good luck and I'm glad to see I'm not alone.
