Topic: The Scale finally moved!!!!
I am so excited...after a six pound gain after Thanksgiving...the scale is finally moving in the right direction. I have lost those six pounds that I had gained plus one...lol. Hey at least it is something. Most people tell me I should not lose anymore. I really dont want to lose any more but I certainly dont want to gain! So I want to thank all those that gave me words of encouragement and got me on the right track again. Thankyou!!!! I started around 278 and now I am a unbelievable 137. I just want to stay there..lol. Take Care and Merry Christmas to all, Laura

Who is your Dr?. I am from Ct. and will travel. I have the skin and I want a body lift but I only had 75 pounds to lose as I had other health problems. Please give me some info or your Dr's name so that I can contact them BlkNectar [email protected] Thanks so much!

Topic: RE: Need Help Getting back on track
Looks like you need a dose of reality here. The things that we put in our mouths before, we have to learn to live without or cut down. I would suggest that you get to a support group real fast and stay on this message board. You appear to be sabotaging your good progress, look at what you lost!!! I wish I could lose just 20 more and I would be happy. Find some fruit that is low in sugar, or some healthy snack and eat in small amounts. It is like learning to walk and talk again, we are reborn and have to learn to eat and control what we take iinto our bodies . Best of luck, and get on this before you go too far and stretch the pouch!!!! BlkNectar

Hi, Brokenwing, I also was in a funk, and even quit going to support groups as folks were losing and I was the same. I didn't have 100 pounds to lose, I had a heart problem, but I still wanted to move faster. For 4 months I stayed the same, and then all of a sudden, it started to fall off and now its moving. I hope to get PS in about 5 more months and I shoud be set. You are not the only slow loser, I still feel folks did better. The Dr told me the bigger the faster you lose, and becaause I was solid and not that obese, it would be a slower process. They say don't compare, but come on now, we do and thats what we go by, at least for me. You are not alone, I am slow as well, but it's happening and thats the most important thing. BlkNectar

Topic: THIS IS A DREAM!!!! No size 10's (smile)
okay, I go to the store and shop, and then, there are no size 10s there are all other sizes. The clerk tells me 10 is a popular size, and I laughed. Here it is that for years of dreaming and going into any store and looking at the 10's and now, being able to get in them, and not being able to find a selection!!! Don't know wheather to laugh or cry!! The sad part is that dresses are not on the agenda, My top is still a DD and my bottom is a 10, so there are no dresses for me. I am blessed, and after plastic surgery, I should be in a nursing home, but I will be the most popular one there (smile). The other thing is that I was a plus size model at one time (unprofessionally) and had a lot of clothes and I mean I dressed 14-18W. I spent all my money and credit cards, now I have no money to shop. Funny how life goes. The main thing is when I get on my size 10 jeans and sweater with no fat on the side, and walk in on my old boyfriend, he has heard about me, but has not seen me. That will be the day that I will say.. LOOK AT ME NOW !! BlkNectar

After months of not losing and being bummed out, I though I was done for sure. I have lost 9 lbs in the last 3 weeks!!!! I don't have a clue what I'm doing different. Mayhaps my body just needed a long rest. I don't know, but after only losing a pound here and there for months now this is a real trip for me. I eat anywhere from 900 to 1500 calories a day. Around 140 complex carbs. I've been on the high side for fats lately, about 45 a day. And anywhere from 50 to 75 protein. I eat whenever I'm hungery, my snacks are almost always fruit. If I'm in the mood for sweet I have egg custard or a couple cookies made with splenda and no flour. Once in a great while I let myself have 2-3 Hershey's kisses. My BMI is 29.6 YES!!! JUST OVERWEIGHT !!!!! no longer obese!! One slow loser, Brokenwing 267.5/162/140-135

I went thru the same pain - and went to the ER. They did an X-Ray, Ultrasound, and a CT Scan, and they couldn't find any kind of blockage. They sent me home not knowing AANYTHING! I was so frusteated and worried. I decided to take a trip to to go see my surgeon just to be safe, and I have gall stones. I know you have had yours out - but I just wanted to share. I would at least call your surgeon to see what he says. They may be able to forward your records to him to review. My surgeon wants to take my gall bladder out - but I can't do it until January. I just hope I don't have anymore attacks between now and then - UGH! Keep us updated... Jolene 280/138/... wherever I stop I guess!

Topic: RE: Snack Snack Snack...UGH!!!!!
I think we all have the urge to snack at times. I know I go totally overboard and then try to justify it because I know I'm not eating as much as I would before I had the surgery (only because I can't). But the fact is that we have come too far to turn back now! If you can remember back a year ago when we first had the surgery, those high protein foods - that's what we need to snack on if we just have to eat. I am preaching to myself too - those cookies and pies and mac and cheese and dressing really sent me over the edge. I gotta re-focus and get back in control! You can do it! Really we can! don't give up! Alicia
