How funny! I also switched to Viactive and feel like I am eating candy every time I eat one. Once in a while I will take an extra one cuz they are sooo good.

Topic: RE: taco bell?
I have had taco bell and it does taste better than a milkyway!! I tried it first with a soft shell only meat and cheese, but now I have moved up to a hard taco, meat and cheese. I just eat it real slow and chew very well. I can't finish a taco. I just got done eating a half of one when I read this. You can go to taco bell.com and get the nutrional values. I hard taco has 10 grams of fat and 8 grams of protein. (if i read it right). If I know that I am going to eat a taco that is usually my high fat count for the day, the rest of the day it is all low fat! I hope we helped you with this!
Topic: OCTOBER ROLL CALL.....
I want to wish everyone a propserous New Year. We have so much to look forward to in this coming year. I am so excited.
So, it is time for us to "toot our own horns"! In addition to posting our weight loss, let's add what we are eating. Everyone has different food plans, I think it would be fun to see what everyone is eating. It's not mandatory, just if you feel like it. Also, if you have an issues or success hints, let's pass them along.
Surgery: Oct 11th
Weight before surgery: 334
Weight now: 260
LOSS: 74#'s
I have not been very adventurous in my eating. The only red meat I have eaten is ground beef and very little of that. I love fish so my main food is shrimp, salmon, talapia, crab, tuna, and occasionally lobster. I eat fish 2 times a day. Protein first! Plus for breakfast I have a canned protein shake that has 35 g of protein. I also try to have fresh vegetables and fruit each day.
I am a little afraid to try meat or chicken. I have heard from so many people that chicken gets stuck and red meat does not digest well. I was told that the first 6 months are the "honeymoon" so I am trying to make the most of it.
I don't always get all my water in but I am usually close to 64 oz.
So, how are you doing?

I haven't been to Taco Bell, but I have had a mexican frozen dinner. It has two small enchilatias and rice and refried beans. Tastes great and feels good in the pouch.

I have to take extra calcium and I got tired of Tums so I switched to chewable Viactive. I buy the chocolate flavored ones and add 2 peanuts or 1/2 a pecan for my "snack" at work. I bring them in a baggie and keep in my desk. Since I have to eat 2 chewies per day it really seems like I'm having a treat plus it gets in a tiny bit of extra protein. Chew well.

Me and flour tortillas do NOT get along. They just feel like a blob of glue in my pouch. However, corn tortillas are okay. I've heard tell that Taco Bell is reluctant to share their nutrition info because it's prepared with so much fat. Don't know if that's true, but I'd venture carefully. Today I had the Wendy's small chili and was quite pleasantly surprised. And they gave me a nutritional info sheet that said the small chili is 200 cal, only 5 grams of fat, and best of all 17 grams of protein! I added 4 saltine crackers and couldn't finish the whole thing. VERY satisfying. I've had corn tortillas with a little guacamole, lettuce, and tomato and did well. Also, with cheese only. It seems strange to me that flour products don't do well but scratchy corn tortillas...even whole wheat bread do fine. Something about the gluten, I suppose. Good luck!

Topic: RE: Anyone else nauseated all the time?
So sorry to hear about this nausea. I'm not sure what you're eating, but on the days when I don't eat much I get that nostalgic feeling about eating a "normal" (did I ever really eat normally???) meal. 2 days ago I hardly ate anything...had a rough go at lunch, but then yesterday I ate cereal for breakfast, soup w/crackers for lunch and a nice little Wendy's side salad for supper..I almost did feel normal! Each day will bring new experiences and I have to think that eventually your nausea will settle down. Do you drink sodas? I used to but now I rarely do and sometimes they make me feel queasy. I hope all goes well for you. Hang in there!

I've been like that for the past couple of weeks - but I had the flu last week. I was wondering if you all are still on antacids? I was given a 6 month prescription, but I noticed I only took it maybe 3 times in the past 2 weeks.....I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
This IS getting miserable. I get hungry and make something yummy, then after 1 or 2 bites I feel so sick. Even liquids make me queasy. I am back on top of taking the Prevacid - I've taken it 3 days in a row now. I hope I feel better within a couple of days....I'm feeling like going back to stage 1 since yogurt, popsicles and such are the only things I can stand.
