Topic: RE: I am in the middle of a WOW moment...
Congratulations!!! I can totally understand what you mean. My closet is full of clothes I could wear five years ago, before I had my rapid weight gain. I use the day I first met my husband as my point of reference these days (my second "mini" goal is to get back to the weight I was when I met him). Anyway, today we're supposed to have a real cold snap set in and the temps are going to be dangerously cold by the time I get off work so I knew I had to dress warm. Well, the only really warm clothes I have in my closet are 26/28's, what I was wearing 5 years ago. I thought to myself "there is no way I can fit into those right now" knowing that I have another thirty pounds to lose before I get back down to the weight I was when I met my husband. But, I decided to try it anyway and the sweater fit! Not to take the wind from your sails, but I just wanted to say that today the same thing happened to me!!! Now, when we can get rid of all the clothes in our closet and replace it with a whole new teeny tiny wardrobe (I am so looking forward to jeans that aren't so heavy that they bend the hangers down) we'll have MUCH to celebrate! Woohoo for us!!!! Oh happy day! Rachel

Hi Robyn - you are more than welcome to join our little "What did you eat today?" thread! I always like to see what other people are having - gives me ideas for some new stuff. I get so sick of eating the same foods...that's when I usually grab something I shouldn't. I had my surgery one day before you and I am right about the same..I've only lost 45 pounds. I have not lost a single pound in 2 weeks!!!! I am Sooooo sick of seeing 187 on that scale. I had my 3 month check with my surgeon this week, and then had to see the nutritionist after. They both think my stall is due to not getting enough fluids in. I had the flu from Christmas till New Year's and I ate/drank almost nothing for 4 days. I am back to normal eating, but still not drinking for some reason...laziness, I guess. I am lucky if I get 24 oz a day in. So today I will force myself to get in 64 oz and I am going to stick to protein and green veggies, and 1 fruit per day. I've been doing pretty good, but have probably had too many carbs lately. I also have not worked out in about 3 weeks with all the flu and infections going through my kids and husband and I. I will start another "what did you eat?" thread as soon as I post this. We haven't done one in a few days. So, as far as what we think is slow loss....my surgeon says I am right on track and he actually only expects me to lose 5 - 7 pounds per month now! YIKES....that sounds way too slow for me. I lost 12 pounds since I saw him last, one month ago. Chin up, even though it feels slow, we ALL feel like that at one time or another. You are not alone! Hey Guys, I have noticed that several of you are trying to support each other by discussing what you eat everyday. I was wondering if you find that is helping you and if it may be possible for me to join in to try and get over this slump I am in. I had my surgery 10/06/04 and have only lost 43 pounds. I do however see a big change in my clothes and have actually had to box up alot of things that are now too big. This is the only thing that seems to keep me going right now. I am getting really discouraged. Thanks for any suggestions you guys may have. Robyn

Topic: RE: 11 week update!
I am 13 weeks out and down 63lbs. I eat bananas and oranges all the time. I do much better on fruits and veggies than I do meats. Keep up the good work. It sounds like you on the right track.
