Hi Craig, Well mostly depends on what I eat... Most foods I cant eat more than 1/4 cup still... but foods like shrimp, fish, and crab... I seem to be able to eat about cup sometimes more, especially with the shrimp, I guess it chewing it so much makes it small enough to pass right thru.... goes down easy and is full of protein... so I dont feel so guilty for eating more... Lately I find it hard to even eat sometimes... But, i always get in all my water... dont have a taste for anything to drink other than water... have tried crystal light, tea, sf kool aid.. but nothing tastes as good as water.... Im just over 12 weeks out and have lost 73lbs... so i feel very proud of how far I have come.. and am extremely happy with my progress... Everyone is doing a terrific job and we should all be proud of ourselves... Leslie 333/260/170 -73lbs

Craig..... Happy Belated Birthday and Congratulations on your weight loss...you are doing incredible...... I am in the same boat as you. Some days I feel like I am wondering if I had this surgery or not. Then other days I get so full so fast. I tried a very small cup of ice cream today (very scared to do it) and I had no reprocussions. I get scared to try new things but when I find out they work I get excited. I need to really focus though on the 1/3 to 1/4 cup only. I am on a plateau for two weeks and it is a little frustrating. I am not sure if I am getting enough water in but I know I am hitting it on protein....ugh! Take care and keep up the great work, Ann

Hi Craig!! HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! Some days I find that I can eat more than I can on other days. Go figure! Last night I ate two pieces of extra thin and crispy pizza with veggies and some sausage and did okay. I'm trying to keep things to 1/2 to 3/4 cup in total volume. I also try to make it half protien and half veg. That doesn't always happen though! I had a rough realization that I was letting more sugar (in Starbucks coffees) sneak in than I should have so I am really working on limiting the sugars. We can do this! Keep up the great work. Your stats look amazing!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Karen! It's great to be on the losing side, I wish I had this surgery a lot sooner in life. It's weird, sometimes you can eat a lot and sometimes you can't, I havn't figured out the why, when, how etc. It's good to know others are going through the same thing. Maybe somebody will figure it out and post it to the board! Craig

Congratulations on being on the other side and losing. I'm like you having a hard time getting in the fluids, but keep trying. I've lost 57lbs since surgery 14 Oct 04 and have lost a total of 91lbs since I started my journey. And yes this surgery was the best thing ever!
