Hi Diana, Thanks! Boy, that is wonderful about your jeans! Keep it up! I hope you don't mind, but I would like to rewrite your last sentence.... it should read.. I have lost 63lbs in ONLY 3 months! You sound like you are discouraged. Really think about this... 63 lbs. in 3 months... that is wonderful! Try not to lose perspective you have a long way to go, remember the weight loss window is 12 to 18 months. If you have lost 63 lbs. at three months, imagine what you could still lose in the next 15 months!!!! Keep up the good work! Amber

I might have to try those too! I have also tried the Special K bars ... and they are good -- I get the strawberry ones. I also saw yesterday that ravioli's have alot of protein in them .... I can eat pasta pretty good, so I am gonna try them. Thanks!

That's great, Kat .... keep up the good work. I had surgery 10-6 and am at 67lbs .... so I'm right there with ya. As far as getting the liquids in ... I come home from work -- grab a glass of ice water, sit in front of the tv, and sip, sip sip. I still dont get enough in ... but thats how I at least get some in. And I have alot of soup and popsicles still. I know some people have tried adding fruits to their water along with a little splenda and making like a lemonade shake-up, or something like that. Or, too, I've gotten a piece of gum (been VERY careful with it) ... chewed it for awhile, which always makes me thirsty, anyway ... then I can sip even more water. Sometimes I even sit a cup of water by my bed .. and take a few sips now and then prior to falling asleep. Good luck to ya!

Topic: RE: Three months 8o lbs am I doing ok??????
That is great! I have only lost 63lbs in 3 months, but I also believe men lose more and faster than women. I, too, have hit a no weight loss time for about 3 weeks, and have now started lossing again. Keep up the great work.

THAT IS GREAT!!! I had a pair of jeans that have been hanging in my closet for 1 1/2 years waiting for me to wear again. I tried them on a month after my surgery, and almost could wear them. Tried them on again 3 days ago, can't wear them! I can put both hands down INSIDE of the jeans. Got a new pair from friend that is several sizes less then I used to be. Enjoying getting different clothes. Not buying anything new yet, hope to lose more. I have only lost 63lbs in 3 months.

Topic: RE: found my answer to protien problem
I have not taken any protien drinks or powders. I used to eat a lot of beef jerky before the surgery. I asked my doctor about still being able to eat beef jerky, and they said no problem, just chew it good. Jerky is 97% fat free, 2 grams total carbohydrates per serving, and very high in protien. For example, if you are on a 2000 calorie diet, one serving has 50g of your daily requirement, according to the package. It show per gram: Fat 9, Carbohydrates 4, Protien 4. It also has 10% of your Iron. A serving size is 1 oz, or 28g. It seems to be helping me. Sometimes, it is the only thing that does not hurt or make me feel too full. Hope this suggestion helps, but please, ask your doctor first.

Topic: First posting
Had surgery on 10/14/04. my 3 wk checkup, had lost 25lbs. Three months later 1/16/05, have lost total of 63lbs. Finding it hard to lose now, have been walking at lunch at work. Have trouble with some foods, like small tv dinners, pasta, etc. Can eat some foods one day, then next week, can't. Does anyone else have this kind of problem?
