Topic: RE: ?????????? Do We all stall at three Months out??????????????
I am wondering the same thing? I have stalled for the last 2.5 weeks, don't know if to call it a plateu or if my body just needs time to adjust. I have tried eating more and eating less to shake things up but no changes thus far. I guess I will know on Thursday when I go to my nutritionist for my 3 month check-up.

Topic: SLOW LOSER..
I was just wondering if anyone else is this slow...and what can I do to jumpstart my weight loss. I try to eat the right foods and get my water and protein in and joined a gym..30 minutes of cardio about 5 days a week...I started at 278 and am now 239. So that only makes for a 39 pound loss in three months! I have only gone down 1 size as well. What can I do to make this speed up. I try not to compare to others but it is so hard not to when I read about everyone losing 60 pounds and more. i am so disappointed by this,,

Hey Jolynn, I too am on Ortho Evra Patch. I started it a few months prior to surgery because I was afraid of the malabsorptin of the pill. I am know to be "fertile myrtle" to my family so I wanted to make sure whatever I was doing would work. When I wanted to get pregnant, I went off the pill one month and was pregnant the next. So obviously my weight was not a factor in getting pregnant like I have read with other people. I have had no problems with the patch and it is much nicer than taking an extra pill everyday. 3 patches come in the box each month. 4th week no patch. You should talk to your OB and discuss what would work best for you. Good luck.

I had my surgery the same day you did. I am finding the same problems you are. Not severe enough to give a second thought. My surgeon assures me I am doing quite well and reminds me that I will continue to lose for another 15 to 21 months and that if I only lost 1 lb per week, I would be down another 60 to 84 lbs which is much more than my goal. Don't get discouraged, I have friends who have gone weeks with no loss and then just dropped 10 lbs in a week. Keep up the good work.

We welcome everyone to meet to discuss the new and changing issues we face with WLS. Meetings are held at University of New Mexico Hospital. We have been provided with a nice size meeting room just beyond the Cafeteria on the 2nd floor. Park in the parking structure across the street from hospital and walk across the cat-walk to enter the hospital. Take the main elevator to 2nd floor. From the main elevators on the 2nd floor, take a left towards the Cafeteria. Room is to the far back of the cafeteria. 1st and 3rd Wednesday @ 7:00 PM, Next time we meet will be the 19th of January. My MD is in Phoenix. I began to feel better after I posted, must have been the relief of sharing my problems. I could not believe after weeks of n/v I"m doing ok. I still vomit if I eat too fast or too much, but not like before. Thanks for all your help and concern.

Congrats Kat on a job well done. I also have a hard time with fluids. I can only get in about 40 oz a day and that's pushing it. All we can do is try our best. Good luck.
