Topic: RE: AM i EATING TOO MUCH?
Hi Christine, I agree, I dont think your eating to much, if anything maybe you need to up it a little. I think a normal size soft taco is right for this far out, I can eat about 1/2 to 3/4 of a chicken mexi melt and 1/2 cup of beans from the Bell.. If you have a dietitian at your doctors office or support group, you should get them to help you balance this out some. Are you drinking milk? That is something I have found to help me also, use it to mix my protien shakes. Sherrie -57 10.12.04 Start of my new healthier life!!

Hi Christine I to started at 278 and had surgery on 10.12.04, I've lost 57 lbs. and for some time thought I was slow. You have to stay on track, Protein 1ST! (about 60g) then you have to get that 64 oz in any way you can, water, crystal light, decaf tea, just get yourself drinking... If you are doing all these things and are still concerned contact your surgeons office to talk to them they should have a nurse or dietitian who can help you by maybe upping your food intake (calories) to off set the cardio... but dont start eating more until you have discussed this with your doctor. Good Luck!!! Sherrie -57 lbs 10.12.04 Start of my new healthier life!

I definatly dump....Sometimes I can drink a few sips of regular coke--only on occasion when I really want it. I have had 1 mini m&m once and chewed up a starburst one day and spit it out. Starburst were my favorite. I wasnt trying to point you out on eating that Baby Ruth just didnt know if you were a dumper... I have thought about eating a piece of pecan pie at Christmas and would it have been worth it to dump. Almost did it and then backed out. Dumping is so miserable. Be glad you dont do it!!! Although I can see how tempting it would be to go back to regular food. I do miss regular ole sweet tea. Artificial sweetners just arent for me. We are all weak at times. We just gotta pick ourselves up and dust off. To err is human...

Unfortunately I do not dump on anything. It makes it hard to resist at times, if it made me sick it would be so much easier. I should have more will power and respect this tool I was lucky enough to have been given. I don't know why I have to be so weak...very frustrating and every day I struggle with the right foods. I will do really well then will slip then do well again..does anyone else have the same struggles?

YES! Plateau's suck! I was 3 mos out on the 7th. I havent lost anything for 3 weeks until this morning. I lost 1.5 overnight. It is a little encouraging but I dont want to wait 3 weeks to lose 1.5 pounds. Ugh, I know the feeling. Hopefully it will move on quickly! Christine 275/266/201/160

Yep, plateaus suck. I usually get stuck for 2 weeks then lose 4 - 5 lbs. They said the weight loss would slow down but who's a thought at 3 months out, not me. It does help to know others are experiencing this depressing occurance. If anyone has found a way to get over the plateau hump, please pass it along. My water, protein, and vitamins are at the recommended levels. I do have an appointment with a personal trainer this afternoon. I am considering joining 24 Hour Fitness and am on a 10 day free trial. Maybe that will help me get over the hump!! Hold your head high, we are all doing great! Sheryl
