Topic: RE: Concerned
I did bring it up with my medical doctor. She wasn't overly concerned but gave me Prevacid and suggested acid reflex. I looked it up and I think thats a correct diagnosis. It fits whats happening. I'm feeling a little better. Hopefully this med will help. I actually ate 2 chicken nuggets last night and didn't get sick. She wants me to not try eating 3 regular meals but go back to dividing it to 6 meals and chop my food more. We will try. Thanks

What eating disorder are you talking about? I struggle sometimes with Binge eating... It is something I didnt even realize I had until I started reading some self help books with a questionaire in it. I also spent some time talking to my nutritionist. If you struggle from bulimia you should really get some self help books they have really helped me and there is some stuff on my profile if you want to take a look.

Hi Kiki.. I would almost say yes that if you are bouncing back and forth with same 5 pounds then yes, weight loss is over BUT... I would be wrong.. I sat still for 6 months and then lost 7 pounds almost overnight and its still off. I was in maintenace so it was a shock. I was at goal by my 9th month. I am ready for plastics but too afraid to submit the paperwork.
Keep at it. Exercise and lots of protein will get you there - WATER WATER WATER if you can tolerate it. I cant do the water thing but if you can - drink up.

I do not think throwing up that often is normal at all. I am no doctor though and if he says you are okay then I would go with it and just try to slow down or change eating habits. I have not thrown up 1 time since my surgery except the very first day I ate real food.
Topic: RE: Update
Hi Curtis... I know all nutritionists are different but mine told me anything under 800 calories is a waste of time. Your body goes into starvation mode and you wont lose hardly anything. He told me to stay between 1000 and 1200 to continue to lose and 1400-1500 to maintain which is where I am now. Good Luck to you!

ok - its good to know I am not alone here... I had my surgery 10/25/04 at 389 pounds, and have lost 177 pounds.. so I am 212 now.. but I get soooo depressed cause I so desperately want to be under 200. I could have sworn I would have seen that by last sept!! so here I sit.. bouncing up and down and up and down lucking I just had a bit of a drop to get me to 212.. but I was 217-220 for SOOOOO LONG. I was wearing a 34 clothes and now 12/14.. and goal weight is really 175, anything under will be icing on the cake... but right now I feel like a failure because after 15 months I am still over 200 pounds!! So it is nice to know I am not alone and others are having struggles like me... we can do this guys!!!
Topic: RE: question..
for a month or so now I have been taking chromium.. but still not losing like I wi****oo have 40 pounds left.. so two days ago I bought the diet green tea pills to see what that does.. I asked my doc about 3 months ago about diet pills and he said that they are ok for people that are real far out - and need help getting back on track.. but I am desperate myself just to get this done...lol
Topic: RE: Are you counting fats?
my doc from the beginning said to keep fat below 20 - for the rest of my life.. and I do... when you keep your fat under 20 - you dont have to really worry about calories - just carbs and of course keeping protein up! but I have been doing it for 15 months with no problem!
