I've been craving soda too. Regular Coke or Diet Mt. Dew Code Red. I have tried some diet soda, but I couldn't handle it...the bubbles were too much. I'm not going to try it again, because I've heard it's not good for you, too, and I'm struggling enough as it is. Also, I know someone who had WLS about 27 months ago and all she does is drink caffeine-free Diet Coke--since about 6 months after her surgery. Her weight loss has been stalled since about 18 months out. I wonder if that's the reason?

I had one done about 15 years ago. I paid $75 and spent a couple of hours at it. It did nothing and I actually felt quite foolish after I did it. Just my opionion after trying it. Janice

I don't believe it is that evil. I do know that it doesn't work will with calcium supplements. I have not tried soda as yet. I was not addicted to soda before hand though. Maybe when summer is here I will venture to try it. I have been real good with my do's and don'ts. I stay away from caffine also. I know on the main board many post ops drink sodas. Take care, Janice

I am craving a pepsi so bad! I was addicted to it before surgery but have been good since 2 weeks prior to surgery and not had one. My question is...who on here has had soda and what do your doctors say about it? Is it REALLY bad or is it okay in moderation? Does it really stretch the pouch? I have heard some say no some say yes?!
Topic: RE: Question
I have only lost 50 and I was complaining to the Doctor about how slow I was losing..he said I was right on track.
Topic: RE: Question
Man!!!! I guess that means my 68 pound loss is slower! I am sure glad I don't have to answer to him.
Just ignore his attitude!
You are doing just fine! Keep it up and you will be down to your goal before you know it.

Oh no, that means I am in big trouble because I only lost 65 pounds so far. I exercise 5 to 6 days a week for an hour at a time. I am doing everything right. I am getting in 700 - 900 good calories in a day. Up from 500 calories from the first 2 1/2 months out. I have been in Ketosis since my surgery day Oct. 1st and that is why I lost lots of inches. I went from a 26 to a size 18. Even though the scale is not going down, the dress sizes are! I am happy with my success so far. I think your 71 pound loss is great. My doctor didn't say anything about my weight loss thus far. Take care, Janice

I worry that I eat too much too!
I eat good carbs and a well rounded meal. Fruits, vegs, protein, fiber.
I get about 1000 cal. a day. I drink 2 protein shakes at 3o-35 gms of protein each and prenatal vitamins,B-12 sublinguinal,biotin1500cg., and my Rx from Dr..
I eat 1 meal a day, lunch, which is usually a frozen low carb meal, and light on other meals and snacks.
I do get in my fluids, flat diet dew and water and decaf. ice tea weak.
Is anyone else eating like this?????
I can eat the entree of Meijer's turkey light entree(skip the apple sauce stuff), and sounds like that is alot compared to others!!!
