All I can say is that I am right there with the rest of Ya'll. I have only lost 52 punds. I know my problem is exercise. I need to get my but in gear. Does anyone else have PCOS? That could be one of the reasons for the slow weight loss......Just a thought. Rhonda

Sorry you had to go into the hospital. Glad to know you are a little better. I too have problems sometimes eating and keeping it down rather food or fluids. Fortunately, I have not had any severe problems and had to go into the hospital so far. Don't intend to either. Sometimes I think I eat too fast, I know I eat too fast or too much and then I really pay for it by making myself throwing up. Afterwards I'm fine. I did not have the band surgery so I not sure how things are with you. I had the lapscopic surgery. Stay in touch, in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

Hello all my fellow snails, I'm crawling right along with you. I also get very discouraged with the slow weight loss. I just started Curves on the 2rd of this month and I'm so hoping it will kick my matabolisom (spelling) in gear. I just went over the 50# pound mark this week. I weighed 258.5# the day of my surgery. MMMM, and they called me a lite weight. LOL Barbara

I had my surgery on October 14, 2005 and I am now down to 172. I swear that scale has not been moving in about a month maybe a couple pounds here and there and then back. My problem is that I am not drinking and eating enough, and I need to step up my excerise. I started at 234 and down to 172. I am however wearing a size 12 jeans. I have wanted to post but I have been so upset on my loss. My doctor on the other hand has said I should be further along. Well I am trying. I just need to drink and eat more. Shirl 234/172

Hi Christine! I too was a soda addict befroe surgery. I was a Coca Cola addict though. I tried a sip of my husbands and I don't want to take another sip. It is just too much gas in the soda. By the way did you try it yet? Take care!

Hi Shirlene! I had my surgery Oct. 6th and I weighed 340 before surgery. I now weigh 248. 4 1/2 months out. I was a size 26/28 jeans and a 4x shirt. I now wear a size 20 jeans and XL shirt. I have lost 92 pounds. You will do fine just give yourself sometime. I am dissapointed with myself too because I want to lose more. I am at a plateau right now! Congrats on your weight loss and keep up the good work!

Hi Girls - I am in the same situation. I have not even been coming on these boards very much anymore since I feel like I have nothing to contribute. I was 232 on surgery day - and I am down to 177 now. I have only lost about 10 pounds since Christmas. Unfortunately, my dr says I am right on track and that I should only be losing 5 - 7 pounds per month. Regardless of that, it feels way too slow. I have been watching that scale for weeks with no movement - or basically up and down the same 2 darned pounds. I will admit I have not been exactly perfect with my diet lately....but I do manage to get in all of my protein, vitamins and usually my fluid intake. I have munched on the wrong things here and there, but when it comes down to TOTAL food consumption, its so little - I still feel like I should be losing more than this. It feels.....unfair. Poor me LOL I, too, am grateful for the 50+ pounds that have come off so far. I mean, I went from 22/24 to 14/16. Honestly, I thought I would be alot closer to my goal by now though. My 17 month old son recently had surgery and spending a week in the hospital - well, I got off my exercise routine and snacked more than ate real meals and I just haven't got back on track yet. I did finally go back to Curves last night and going again tonight. If the pounds won't come off faster, at least I can start exercising like crazy to firm some of this mushy flab up. Its is frustrating though, huh? Some comments people make - as if I am failing another diet. My husband will say "Well, maybe you shouldn't have had that cheese (popcorn, crackers, whatever snack I had the night before)" when I get on the scale in the morning. Little does he realize that I ate under 600 calories ALL DAY!! Sheeesh. And other people telling me to exercise more. Oh I want to tell them all to go shove it up their......I KNOW what to do....I just thought going through this very HARD lifestyle change would produce better result so far.....that's all. Anyway, Chistine, I can totally relate. Princess Splenda has something on her site to get you over a plateau....but I have not tried it yet. Feel free to email me - we can vent to each other. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day. I'm off to Sweat to the Oldies with Richard Simmons LOLOL! Jenn 232/177/140

Please don't get disappointed. I agree w/ Joann maybe you need to write down what you are eating every day and take it to your nutritionist, maybe you are not eating enough. I personally don't own a scale or a measuring tape. I only weigh myself once a month when I go to the doctor. I use to be scale obsessed and I never want to go through that again. Everytime I have gotten discouraged I think that it took my 8 months to loose 30 pounds on WW, and how far I have gotten now in only 4 months. Also you should be happy you are loosing slowly that way your skin has time to catch up! Sometime I feel I haven't lost a thing and yet my clothes are looser. Good Luck and keep your chin up and I think that just by following your doctor's rules it will come off!

Hi Pam - I'm sorry to hear you had to be admitted, but I'm glad all worked out well. I too, have to vomit occasionally. I know when it's coming almost as soon as I take the first bite of food and feel yucky until I barf. Then I can't eat - I have to wait a few hours before my stomach settles down. I did find FOR ME a hot drink like caffiene free tea helps settle my stomach and makes my pouch feel better. Again, Glad you are well! Joann
