I seem to be eating more as well. I really dont feel that full feeling anymore, so what I am doing is going back to the basics. Getting protien first and not drinking for 30 min after eating, getting plenty of water( I struggle with this every day and have since day 1). I am really trying not to freak out. I havent really gained but I feel that I might soon if I continue on this destructive path. I really need to start exercising too. I havent at all until now. Take Care, Laura

My friend had her tummy tuck about a month ago and she was in pretty bad pain for a few days but she is okay now. I sent my paperwork into my insurance company today. Hopefully I will get approved. Good luck to you.

I think its about the same for all of us, I still try to watch the sugar though as that is my weakness, the brain is a food addicts worse enemy lol periodically I just go back to basics to prove I still have the power to do so. my weight is at goal, and I haven't gained but would like to lose 5-10# to have some wiggle room, 231#/140#

Barbara I don't have any advice for you because I find myself in the same situation you are in. Sugar does not bother me and I have added some, maybe even alot, back into my diet. But that ended yesterday. I am going back to basics today. I'm going to do a liquid diet for a week and then progress to soft foods and then back to my regular foods. I'm going back to measuring my foods and sticking to what I know is right for me to eat. I've got to stop this before I get out of control. I still have 30 pounds to lose before I'll be at my goal and I'm already 16 months post op.

Has anyone had ps yet? I have been debating on it and I was just wondering how much time you were off, if you you would do it again? I have heard that the tummy tuck is very painful, i had open ryn and wondered how comparable it might be? Any help would be great. Thanks!

How much is everyone eating??? I feel like i eat too much at times. Some days I am hungry and others I don't eat that much. I have done a bad thing and added some sugar back into my diet. It doesn't bother me and it hasn't ( That scares the crap out of me!!!) I have lost 135 pounds and am at my goal. I have to tell myself not to eat what my brain is craving. Any advice??

Thank you a lot. It does help to be reassured that the surgery is still working!!! I guess I'm never satisfied. The Prevacid is working and I haven't been sick for a week. So now I'm telling myself, make sure you don't eat more than you need just because you can eat again. Crazy isn't it. If I did eat to much my pouch would warn me, I'm sure. Maybe as my stomach settles down I can get back to life. Its late I don't know if this makes sence but thanks again.

Check with your bariatric doctor. Mine just put me on Phentermine (diet pills) and that has done the trick. It supresses appetite and increases metabolism. This seems to be his usual protocal for WLS patients. He'll only prescribe for a couple of months, but that seems to be what I needed to get the scale moving again. In a week, I'm down 5 pounds. Good luck. Julaine

Once in a blue moon, I will need to throw up still. It seems that once I start, I'm more likely to do it again. (I once read somewhere that once the pouch has been "irritated" it's more sensitive, and that seems to make sense to me.) I will often eat the exact same thing several times (since I don't eat much each time) and 3 out of 4 times no problem --then bam. I don't know why. Maybe I chewed it one time less than I should have, maybe I ate it a tad too quickly? I never really am sure. All I know is that once I do throw up, I feel immediate relief. I don't get too worried about it, since it isn't as if I am unable to keep down my food on a regular basis. In an odd way, it is almost reassuring to me. Sometimes I fear that I'm getting too comfortable with my food, and this is a gentle reminder that the surgery is still working! --Hope that helps. Julaine
