Hi Joe
My pressure also went down. It used to be 130 to 140/80. Now it reads around 100/60. My surgeon said it was because I was not drinking enough. It is a sign of dehydration. Are you getting all your water in?
I also feel good despite iron anemia.
Best of luck.

I am the opposite. My bp spiked during surgery and has been running a little high ever since. I am still on my bp meds. The doc was not concerned and said it should stabelize soon.

Topic: RE: Only 10 lbs lost in 4 months!
Hi,
Yes, I'm also a slow looser...
I had surgery on 10.12.04 and have lost -70 lbs., which not bad but I like both of you have seen where people have lost a lot more. I just keep telling myself this will work and in time it will come off. Let me know if you find something that works to help you get to the 5+ lbs. a month rate... I to seem to be stuck for the last 3 weeks nothing.... so close to being under 200 but yet so far...

just curious if any of you have noticed a drop in your blood pressure since surgery. Pre surgery my pressure was always 120 / 80 which was always good despite my morbid obesity. but since surgery it has gone down steadily. my February pressure was 90/60, and my pressure this morning when getting my B12 shot was 90/50. I dont feel bad at all, though every now and then I do get a minor dizzy spell usually when standing up fast. the nurse today did not seem overly concerned but the difference is enough to make me have concerns. Just curious if anyone else has noticed a BP drop of any significance and what if anything your doctor has said about it.

Wow Janee a size 12 already! You are doing so wonderful. You must be pretty close to goal. I don't think that I could squeeze into a 18 yet. Our surgeries are 4 days a part and you live very close to me (Holly). In fact I am meeting some people for the first time that I had met on the MI message board today at 4:30 on Miller Road (Applebys). If you are not busy stop by there will be about 15 of us. Keep up the great work. Janice

I had to laugh at your post! That was cute. Man what I wouldn't give to be a size 14!! But if my feet shrink I am gonna be in trouble, I only wear a 5 1/2 as it is!!

I too am losing very slowly. Had surgery 10/13 as well! Started at 278 and have lost a total of 51 pounds but only 1 pound in the last 3 weeks!!! Everyone loses at a different pace. My Dr says I am right on target too but when you see other posters losing 70 plus pounds you can't help but be disappointed!! Feel free to email me anytime!

DAting myself with the Bozo reference!!!!
I went from a whopping size 11 shoe down to a 9 1/2!! Still wide width, but back to my highschool shoe size!!
I am sooo happy to look at shoes and see my foot in the mirror too, instead of yards and yards of shoe!!!!!
No one but you guys would understand the sheer joy of another part of my anatomy shrinking!!!!!
Let's see!
Lost since 10/5/04.......
108#'s.
3 shoe sizes
7 dress sizes
and most of my hair!!!!!
Oh well.... I got my hair cut really short from below shoulder length, and went back to my more natural color(easier on the hair)of med. auburn from bleach blonde!!! My husband says I look like his own Jamie Lee Curtis!!!(sweet guy uhh?!) and that my eyes stand out more!!!
I feel like a femm fatale(sp?)!!! It's been fun and scary and adventurous!!
So I just had to go out and buy a sexy little(not so little and hid a whole lotta flaws)nitie for him!!!! It was so fun! Haven't felt sexy in sooo long! The world may not see a sexy woman, but I feel like one now!!!!
I try to focus on the positive!
When I was out shopping, I looked for a dress for a wedding I am going to in April. I was wearing a size 14/16 dress pant, straight from church, and when I looked in the mirror in the dressing room, my pants were baggy! I was so shocked! When I tried on size 16 and 14 dresses, they were too big!!!! I got into a size 12 tight, so a 14 would be my choice, but I got the 12 on!!!!!!!!! I just had been so excited when I had gotten into the 14/16's a month ago, that I finally bought some new clothes!
I am so surprised at my changes!!!!
