I am down 52 pounds, I do get my protein in and water, I am exercising 2-3 times week at the gym, typically the days i don't get to the gym I am working 12 hour shifts in the ICU, if I cannot make it to the gym I mow the yard, walk with my daughter or something to keep moving, I also get discouraged-s by the fast losers but of course am happy for them.
I have gone from a 2x-3x or 24w to a 16, I feel good alot more energy, I am 5'8 and started at 278, once I get to the century club I will be at my goalo

Topic: RE: Only 10 lbs lost in 4 months!
Hi Stacy,
I have had a tought time also, surgery on 10/5 & have lost 71 pounds & had some complications that have made my loss slower. I've been told the lower your BMI to start with the slower your loss. Also, it seemed when I was being very restrictive with my calories I was barely losing, when I started allowing myself to eat more healthy calories I started to lose much faster, sometimes very low calorie intake makes your body think you are starving & it fights to hold onto every pound. Just a thought... good luck!

Way to go Joyce!!!
Good for you and keep it up!!!!
I myself just became a member of the Century Club 3/8/05. For me it feeels great to be under 300 lbs. My next MAJOR goal is to get under 200 but I will take baby steps until then.

My surgery was 10/14/04. I've lost around 92 pounds but I've been stuck for 3 weeks & I've about to panic. I'm scared I won't lose any more. I don't know if this is just a plateau or if the rate of weight loss has slowed down permanently. I wonder if I'm eating too many carbs. From everyone replies I realize the loss varies but I'm still scared. I'm still over 200.
What do you all eat now? I'm too far away to get to the support group.

whoo hoo, me too...........beginning- 323, now-243, total 80. I went from a size 26-28 to a 20. I feel so anxious for summer to come and have fun with my kids. Good luck to all, and take it easy on the roller coaster downhill so you can enjoy the ride longer

Hi Jo,
I'm only down 66 from 10/21/04. Feeling great, loving life and the sort of smaller me. I get frustrated alot too. Especially when I go 2 or 3 weeks without losing but then I'll hit that week where I drop a few pounds and I'll get a little more bounce in my step. Don't worry we'll make it.

That is wonderful news to hear. Congratulations! I understand how great it is to finally be wearing smaller sizes. Keep up the good work!
