Hi Sherri, It may help you if you went to your state message board and posted the same thing as you did here in the PA message board. Try CA and see if you get more responses. Good luck! Audrey

Groovy! I cant wait until I'm there with you. Only 4 lbs until -100 for me. I have taken a digital pic every month on my aniversery date. Those pics help so much with my conception of what I really look like now. We are all so good hiding our bodies becuase it used to hurt to look , but now we should be taking note of the good changes. Its exciting to see yourself "melt". Robert 337/241/195

Topic: RE: Only 10 lbs lost in 4 months!
Hi Stacey, I had my surgery in August and while I am not a pro by any means, I do have a bit of advice. Don't average your losses week to week. Do it month by month. What I mean is this: Take what you have lost all together, which is 65 lbs. Phenominal loss, by the way. It really is. Okay, now take that number and divide it by the number of months post-op you are, which is 5. 65/5=13 lbs. You are losing 13 lbs per month. Sweetie, this is not slow at all. This is actually very, very good. I am 7 months post-op and have lost 93 lbs. I also average 13 lbs per month. But my losing patterns are WACKY. I stay the same for up to 2 weeks and then BAM! Nice loss. So, if I freaked out after a weigh in every week, I would be freaking out all the time, because my week to week weigh ins aren't good at all. That is why, at your stage in the game, you need to focus on monthly averages, not weekly. If you continue to lose at the pace you are losing at, you will have lost 156 lbs in one year. How on earth is this slow, bad or even "average"? Keep your chin up, hon. You are doing awesome. Hugs, Denise

Sherrie, 70 lbs in 5 months hardly constitutes a slow loser. That is an average of 14 lbs per month which is on the high average range. Denise

Hey PAchick76. I had my surgery on 10/05/04 so I am nearly 6 months out & I have lost 85 lbs so far. I'm like you, I'm wondering why I haven't hit the century mark either. I am told that it will come but I guess we are alike that we are impatient about it. I have alot to lose so I guess I want it off today. We just have to be willing to wait & we will get there. All we have to keep thinking about is how we will feel when we do. GREAT!!!! Keep up the good work and YOU GO GIRL!!!!
