HI! ALL OF US HAVE EXPERIENCED PLATEAUS EVERY NOW AND THEN. THROW YOUR DEPRESSION OUT THE WINDOW! REMEMBER! WHEN YOU EXERCISE YOU GAIN MUSCLE, AND WEIGHT LOSS DOES NOT SHOW ON THE SCALES; BUT, INCHES DO SHOW IN YOUR CLOTHES. I DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT I LOOSE OR WHAT THE SCALES SAY. I KNOW I AM LOOSING WHAT I'M SUPPOSE TO LOSE EACH MONTH ABOUT 1 TO 2LBS OR MORE A WEEK. MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING IN ENOUGH WATER, NO SUGAR AND ALL YOUR PROTEINS IN. BE SURE TO READ MY PROFILE; HOPEFULLY IT WILL HELP YOU SEE THAT YOU ARE LIKE ALL OF US. TAKE IT ONCE DAY AT A TIME & HANG IN THERE YOU'LL SEE.:::::::::::::::::::: WEIGHTED 310 LBS : NOW WEIGH 197 LBS SIZE 26/28 NOW SIZE 16/18

It is normal for your body to take many breaks during your rapid weight loss. When I went in for my monthly weigh-in for February, I was so disapointed in my 9 pound loss. I go weeks without loseing anything all the time. I just lost 2 pounds after a 3 week span. Am I worried? NO. Am I gaining? NO. I can't figure out how I lost 81 pounds in 6 months when the scales did not move too often. I exercise 5 days a week and I look great, and that is what I look at. I also know that this is going to go on for the next 6 months and I will not be disappointed in my scale not moving. Look at the big picture. Focus on your goal and you will do fine. Take care ..¸(`'?.¸(`'?.¸¸.?'´)¸.? '´)¸.. «?*¨` * ~ Janice ~ * ´¨*?» ..´(¸.?'´(¸.?'´`'?.¸)`'? .¸)`..

Everyone I know in starting this journey I knew that I wanted to be healthier but ultimatly I want to lose alot of weight. I felt sluggish and just not thrilled with how I was living my life, But at the same time I had fun and felt good most of the time but felt boggled down because of my weight, can I fit in that seat, clothes that I would like to wear did not come in my size. I wonder if they did would I have had the shopping blues, and felt discusted with my self. but i did have this surgery and began to feel lighter and everyone around me told me that I looked happy, I can tell you that in the beginning of my weight loss I felt the same so I wonder if it was I who looked happier or was it them who judged me differently because of my weight loss? moving on: I am in totol amazment I will be seeing my Dr. next month and I can't wait to see how much I have lost.. But this week I went to buy a pair of jeans my 20 jeans were too big, I went to lane and Bryant and tried on a 16 and they looked good but were a bit loose, so I said to myself try on pair of 14 and I did and THEY FIT Perfectly I can not believe it. A 14, I was always a 16 as a teenager and I looked good then, and now I look even better!! Not only that but I went to marshals and mined you I hate to shop for clothes and I tried on a trench coat the hanger said x-large and I put it on it was a bit snug but it was form fitted, when I looked at the tag it was a size 12... A 12 well I bought it and have been rocking it since thursday and it looks good not silly and I look so different in and I do feel different when I wear it. but any way its not the size it is how I feel, my daughter and I have been having so much fun together and I have so much energy, work is great I work with street involved teenagers and I have more liveliness with the clients. and I am just enjoying life ohh and I started swimming again and it is so great. I am so glad that I had this surgery it allowed me to take control of me, and deal with issues from the past in a new productive way.. All the best to all of you on your journey's peace and love kat

Topic: RE: Five Months Post-Op, and Feeling Fatter then EVER! ...Am I CRAZY??
Hello Shannon, Thank you for your brilliant feedback! The more replies I get, the MORE I realize, "we are all THE SAME!" 1. We all lost about the same amount of weight 2. We all lost the same amount of inches 3. We all are very glad we had the surgery 4. We all feel FAT (or flabby, etc..) 5. We all care enough about each other -to- answer someone who is worried, or has a pertinent question on our anniversary board. With support like that, I think we are truly blessed! Peace to you and Yours, pete

Just curious. I find I end up with more variety when I see what others are eating. Though Im still not eating what most ppl can, Im getting better. Today I had : 8 oz 0% milk mixed with protein. (27g) 1/8 c tuna mixed with a lil mayo and shredded cheddar 16oz water 8 oz sugar free cranberry "juice" And Im sipping on FLAT diet ginger ale. Another shake in my future.. Not sure whats for supper, I dont get that far on most days.
