Hello Richard, I'm not from there. I live in Maine. My husbands home town is Carlsbad, New Mexico. He took me for a visit last December. I absolutely fell in love with it. I visited the caverns and the Living Desert State Park, drove all over the place. New Mexico is awsome, the sky full of stars goes on forever. It's like you can almost see beyond the horizon.
