Century club but...still so far to go
Hi there,
I don't post very often yet I do come in and read people's posts. It seems that any issue I am having, I can log on and someone is having the same one. I am grateful for this message board.
I did finally make it to the century club. After having been at a plateau for 2 (very long) months. I have now lost 102 pounds. I am loving that. But.. isn't there always a but. I am so jealous of the people that have lost 100 pounds and are near there goal. I still have over 100 pounds to go!!

Ultimate Goal 170
I'd like to see 299 first. Then work my way to 250. So, I have set smaller goals so the ultimate doesn't seem so far out of reach.
Is there any out there that still have a ways to go and I just wonder how they are doing. Physically and mentally.
Judy, I know that it may seem like you have a ways to go, but just hang in there and look at what an incredible job you have done so far. I have lost 124lbs and am about 25lbs from goal, but it still seems lightyears away to me as well. I think that no matter where we are at in our journeys, we can all be a little impatient, because we all want to achieve our goals so badly! It will happen for you! A very dear friend of mine who had wls has gone from 432 down over 200lbs. and still going! I am always truly amazed to see her progress! Someone out there is reading your profile right now and wishing that they were half as successful as you have been. Keep your chin up, god bless, and much continued success to you in your journey
Hello Judy, I know how you feel... I started at 383 and am down -113lbs.. I have such a ways to go yet and I have been at a plateu since 5/28. I spoke to my nutritionist and she told me that now I will truly begin to lose fat, before I was losing muscle and water. She said I should be glad it is going slow that way my skin has time to "catch up" w/ the enormous change. I also get frustrated because I see that people that have started out about where I was have lost so much more. But I am soooo grateful for what I have lost till now and for my health which has done a complete 360, I try to remind myself everyday that this journey is just that and it is different for each individual and as long as I continue to have my protein, water and vitamins and limit my carbs, I am working my tool and giving it my all. Good Luck and hopefully we will both continue to have success on our journey!
I was 335 on Oct 1st,the day of my surgery I am now 218 with 48 more lbs to go. It is really slow going but as long as its going I am happy. Even if I dont reach my goal of 165-170. I have to get under 200lbs or I will be very dissapointed. I have lost a total of 117lbs so we are running pretty close. Hang in there.
Judy, I hear ya! I started at 467. I just weighed myself this morning and I am at 312! WOOHOO!!! I am setting several small goals, myself. I keep saying to myself, "Ok, just x-number of pounds to be 299." Then I will go 250, etc. Email me! We seem to be almost exactly the same in our weight loss....give or take a couple pounds!

Judy -
I want to thank you for your post. I am what they call a 'lurker'. I've never posted, though I have replied to a couple of posts.
I have stopped logging into the site so often because I've been finding it discouraging! I didn't lose an ounce all of May and June! I was just stuck! I didn't think I'd ever get to the Century club. I finally reached it last week, but I still have about 125 pounds more to lose. I don't see the progress, though my friends do. I feel better - but it has been very frustrating -especially when I see there are people who have reached goal, and are being told to stop losing. Your post encouraged me so much- there are others out there that are having the same issues I am!
Starting weight - 376
Current - 275
Goal - 150
Short Term Goal - 250 (by the holidays??)
Next goal - Another hundred before my 2 year anniversary (October, 2007).
Thanks for posting - it really helped!
