OCTOBER ROLL CALL
I vote to keep the roll call. It gives me a reality check to the range of loss for others in the same time frame - see if I'm in the ballpark considering age, starting weight, gender, exercise level, eating & water habits,. etc. Otherwise, would have to do more looking through profiles to get that info.
Pre-surgery: 370
Day of Surgery: 360 10/12/05
Current: 263
Wt. Loss -107
As for me I know that if you are not losing the weight as fast as others are it can make you depressed. But each of us has a different metablosim, and weight loss can come slower, or faster.
Surgery Date: 10/21/04
Start Weight: 377
Current Weight: 240
Total weight loss: 137
There are those periods of stand stills, and the fear that the weight loss will stop. As for me. Surgery eliminated my hunger. I can't seem to eat as much as I need so I suppliment my diet with a protein shake. I have learned from various diets how to enhance the flavor of the drink, by adding sugar free chocalate syrup, and instant decaffinated coffee. I make it frothy with shaved ice. I still have problems eating some meats. And It has been a real chore to slow down when I eat. I will personally be glad when I finally reach my weight loss goal. The main thing I try to focus on is that it is not as important how fast the weight comes off, as long as it does. Hope the rest of you continue the good work, and be encouraged.....
Hi I had surgery Oct. 5 and I haven't really lost for over a month and a half. That is starting to drive me crazy!! I don't come here a whole lot because I have been really busy latley but I was starting to swear that the loss had stopped and thought tonight I would stop in and see how others where doing. I found ROLL CALL and thought what better place. As I read I realized that I am average with everone else. That is what I want to be average Not to small Not to big. So I am leaving here happier than when I came. Please keep posting Roll Call See it helped me (isn't that what it is for?) Thanks Shell

Gosh how I want a Tuck here and a Tuck There and everywhere a Tuck Tuck!!!!!!
Hi Sheryl, sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well, hopefuly things are better now. I am new to this but I enjoy reading everyones responses to things. I had my surgery 10/11/04 weighing 349 lbs. Today 6/15/05 I weigh 215 lbs. But I hate being sick. I'm feeling better about my surgery now but I just wish I could feel normal. I don't eat very much and I'm getting weaker. Everyone tells me it will get better and I know in my heart it will. BUT, WHEN????// lol
Not really much to say. I still can't start eating six times a day. I need a food schedule and menu in a bad way. I have to make an appt. with the nutritionist. Anyone else have problems eating? Anyone care to share a sample menu with me. I'd greatly appreciate it. Here are my stats:
Pre op= 238.5
7 months post op= 152.8
loss so far=85.7
Dr. says if I start eat like I'm supposed to then I could be losing more quickly. I'm 30lbs away from goal and I need some serious help with some menu ideas and schedules. Thanks for the support. Everyone keep up the GREAT work. Bless you all!!! ~Jenn~
