OCTOBER ROLL CALL
Hello October losers
I have had a few emails about our roll call. Seems that some people would rather not see how others are doing because they are not doing as well. I will leave it up to the majority. Do we continue or do we stop?
I am going to post for June and everyone is welcome to do the same. Please also indicate if you want me to continue each month or stop. You can email me personally at [email protected]

Todays weight: 204
Loss: 129
I had a bad spell last month. I had severe stomach cramping, vomiting and diarrhea. An upper GI did not show anything wrong and today I have a CT scan. I was miserable for 10 days, only able to eat very soft foods and liquids. I also lost 15# in 10 days. Hopefully the CT scan will find something or nothing and I can get back to my regular routine.
How was your month?
Sheryl
I think it should continue! I've had a pretty good month. I seemed to have stalled last month, but I seem to be back to losing again.

Still learning how to keep the pouch happy, it seems like trial and error sometimes and I can be a slow learner! Oatmeal seems to work good for breakfast...I actually enjoy decaf coffee now too. And to control snacking urges the almighty sunflower seed is wonderful!

Now at 202.
For about the last 6 weeks my husband and I have started a running training program so we are running 3 days a week for about 30-45 minutes and it is going so great. Since I started this I can feel and see my body shape changing.
I feel so great I haven't lost any hair at all and surprisingly the only saggy skin is in my boobs and my upper legs. Woohooo.
Last weekend my husband and I got a babysitter for my daughter and we worked on taking out wild blackberry bushes all day long from 1-6pm. That was darn hard work let me tell you. I can't belive I had so much energy to do that all day. It made me feel good to see how much work we did then to know that I could acutally do it. Before WLS I wouldn't have been able to to that at all.
Everyone is doing
I too like to see how others are doing, so I think you should keep the roll call. My weight loss has slowed down a lot but I feel and look great (if I must say so myself).

Feel great was at a stand stil for a few weeks, started loosing more consistently this month. Have to do Iron infusion as the Iron therapy has not worked. With that aside I feel great, more active, life is good!!!
No Complaints. Continued success and health to all!!!
I like having the roll call each month. Everyone to me is doing great!! So far I have lost 150 pounds. I give a lot of credit to Curves!! I joined in Jan and have lost 50 pounds and over 20 inches since then!! I am 30 pounds from weighing the same as my hubby. I am about 55 pounds from goal. At times 55 pounds sounds like a lot but I know I can do it. I have had a lot of food cravings lately. Really trying not to give in to those. Keep up the great work ten thins!!! Bree

I enjoy reading about how others are doing...even if they are losing faster than me. I would vote to continue ROLL CALL. I really like to read about how people that had surgery the same month as me are doing. I get inspiration from some comments and reassurance from others. It also helps me to see if I'm doing something wrong. I don't understand why people would say that they would rather not see how others are doing...but if that's the case - just don't read the posts for ROLL CALL - isn't that a simple solution? I don't go to any type of support group. I have not even been back to see my surgeon since I left the hospital after my operation. This is the only support I have had. We are all different and we shouldn't expect to have our bodies do exactly the same thing at the same time - BUT - we all are on the same journey. I don't usually even post, but I wanted to vote YES we continue.
As for my journey, I'm very nervous about how much farther I'm going to go. I have slowed to a near stand still over the last month and a half. I lose a pound, then gain two, then lose three, then gain one. It has been very different from earlier on. I remember my doctor saying that some people only lose 80% of their extra weight...and I'm worried about that being me. I also worry that I can eat more than most of the people that are as far out of surgery as me. I really, REALLY worry that I don't have any kind of reaction to sugar...I have never experienced "dumping", it doesn't seem to matter what I eat. I guess that it's safe to say that I'm just worrying about everything. On the bright side, I can't remember the last time I felt this good...or looked this good! I got on a pair of 14 jeans today for the first time in 12 years!
Surgery date: 10/12/04

Hoping for a final weight of 135 (I think...I haven't set a goal weight and the doctor never told me what he thought it should be)
Wishing you all the best,
Karla
