Butterflies

Last summer when I was waiting to have my operation (and not very patiently) someone on this list said she was excited to have her operation in October. She thought we should be excited because we would have our operation and then cover up for the winter. In the spring when we shed all those layers there would be this "thinner" person emerging. To my suprise... she was right. People have not noticed the weight change as much because of the layers, but know that I am wearing warm weather clothes people are really noticing (including myself) Congrats to all my fellow butterflies! It's funny you should post this, because the butterfly has become my new "symbol". It is on my webpage, and I found the prettiest butterfly ring from Avon that I wear proudly. Whenever anyone comments on it, they get to hear my story! I feel just like a butterfly, one that had been in her cocoon for far too long!!! Isn't it great to be able to spread our wings! (No pun intended, because my arms do resemble wings, somewhat!) LOL!! 300/224/190

It is such a wonderful feeling. Using that as a symbol is a good idea. I will have to look around for us. Anne

That is a really NEAT way of thinking of it all ... wow ... I wish I had thought of that. Yep, she was right ... people that I havent seen all winter, are really noticing the change, now that I am wearing my warmer weather clothes and all ..... I, too, want to say "Congrats to all my fellow butterflies!" ..... and have a great day! Susan
