Hi there folks i thought id throw this out and see what comes back what quirks are you guys experiencing out there? I find that i bruise extremly easy. i find that i cant lie on my side cause my hip bones hurt now anyones knees seem worse for wear? I can sit now my fanny hurts My tailbone must have grew three inches cause i swear i never had one before now it feels like i got everest coming from my butt' My upper body looks realy skinny through the shoulders and the collerbone but my middle waist seems to have ignored the fact that the top half is shrinking. When i bend over and look at my waist it looks like the face of a wrinkle dog. I get really shaky if i havent ate in a while and if i go to long without eating then eat i get the exausted thing no matter how slow and careful i eat. hmm thats about it for y quirks any other feeling the same thing or have other quirks deb

wow I had a good laugh over the wrinkle dog one! I needed that! And yes I have alot of the same ones you do. looking smaller on top but hey when is the tummy gonna go!! I have one knee that really bothers me now which I find strange since they never hurt when I weighed 287?? I havent lost enough yet to have hip bone stick out but I will gladly take that problem! My hair finally stopped falling out by the handfulls thank god but now I have all this new growth that sticks straight up! But all in all I can't complain, I have had no problems and can eat anything but ice cream or milkand have not dumped at all. I am a slow loser but had I not had surgery I would never have lost 70 pounds, not even close.

Deborah, I feel the same as you do, minus the hipbone thing. But I have alot more weight to lose. In any case my knees are doing fine its my ass that hurts and I still ahve a great deal of padding back there still!!! I feel alot better than pre-surgery so a little aches and pains are okay compared to before. Erica

LOL I totally have the hip bone thing going on too. I love to lay on the floor and play with the kids now and every time I roll over it kills. My DH notices it too, when we are laying in bed and he puts his arm around me....he's always pushing at that bone saying "What the heck IS that?" Although he says its nice to have "something to hold onto now" LOL The wrinkled dog face is an understatement in my case. I am horrified by all the wrinkly, soft, jiggly skin all over me!! I am working on it though! And I am glad to hear I am not alone in getting that low blood sugar feeling, where I get shaky and almost faint feeling...always when I have not eaten in a while. That's actually been getting worse the past week or so. Hmm.. I will have to check into that and see what I can do. Jenn -86

Deb, It's funny, isn't it? I Never even thought I had hip bones before, but now when I am at work and I lean up against something I hurt myself! Not to mention lying on the floor and other various acts. I also totally have the tailbone thing going on. It is a family trait, WE DONT HAVE BUTTS! So, even at my heaviest I never had a big one, but now it is just rediculous! It is hell for me to take a bath, sit on a bench, or many other things. But, I must say... I can live with it to feel this good! I just have to be a bit careful, I did bruise my tailbone a few weeks ago... so beware! Amber

Sorry to butt in, but I was excited to read about your tailbone... I have been trying to investigate this myself, since I'm experiencing it as well... I fell on my booty when I was 13 years old, and I remember it was very painful and I couldn't walk right for a while there... didn't go to the doctor, though. Anyway, through the years, it has bothered me only VERY SELDOM, mainly if I was sitting on a very hard surface. I have lost weight before (about 50 pounds) and it didn't affect me. However, after surgery... my tailbone is seriously bothering me now. It doesn't have to be a hard surface, basically if I'm sitting anywhere for a while, it hurts! (and then, like you say, sometimes it doesn't...). Plus, I don't know how it's supposed to feel, but it does feel like it's OUT THERE... I thought it was just me! I have recently ordered a couple of cushions for my office, the car, and home... I want to sit down without pain http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/orwetacu.html During my fruitless research, all I could find was this question, with no answer: http://www.****yx.org/personal/2003/caroline.htm So... very interesting... it certainly seems to be happening to us post-ops, but nobody knows why! The hip bone thing. I can't sleep on my back, so I've learned to deal with my hip bones hurting... luckily it's not too bad, but I definitely can relate. I remember the one time I was lying in bed and felt something hard a little above my stomach... I was freaking out... then I realize it was my RIB!!! LOL! I love finding out bones I never knew I had... Oh, and before I leave you, I thought I'd share something I found with you all: http://store.bariatriceating.com/stallers.html OK, I'm outta here Angie (RNY-GB 29 Jun 04) 280/182.5/140 http://www.geocities.com/tiger_angie
