Greetings All, Now officially 7 mos. out.. Surgery date: October 4th Starting weight- 240 Today's Weight -168 Lost: 72 lbs Now that's slow losing I can't blame no one but myself, because quite honestly I could be doing a whole lot better in the exercise category. I get my protein, water and vitamins in (most days) ...Still striving to do better! 240/168/125 5'2

I'm battling the ulcer again -- havent taken my meds like I should have, and its killing me -- so I havent been eating much of anything the past few days. But I am trying to get back in the groove before I get dehydrated. I have another (4th one) endoscopy tomorrow morning at 7am. Surgery: 10-6 Starting weight: 288 Most recent weight: 184 Lost: 104 I was eating quite abit of stuff. I eat red meats and have since early on. (lean) I ate pork chops, chicken, beef, turkey, ham, salads, lots of veggies and fruits, pizza, cereals, cheeses, nuts, soups, chilis, spaghetti, mac-n-cheese, lots of stuff..... Still working on the water and the protein. That is a daily battle even still ................... ugh!

I just want to say GREAT JOB to everyone!!! Surgery: 10.12.04 Starting Weight: 278 Current Weight: 196 Total Loss of: 82 I'm eating most things really well, not eating things w/sugar or high fat, eat a lot of chicken and fish, need to work on those veggies, do eat some fruit about 4-5 times a week. Still drinking my protein shakes at least once a day sometimes I will get in 2 a day. And as always 70+ oz of fluids daily. Keep up the great work!!!

I visit these boards occasionally. Post "not-so-often." Admittedly, I have no reason -- I just stay incredibly busy with life (sometimes that's good ... sometimes that's bad!). I find people's differences fascinating. Everyone here is so unique, so individualasitic, so wonderful, and so very diverse -- but it somehow seems that it scares more people than comforts them! My wish is that that everyone finds it in themselves to be able to believe in themselves. It breaks my heart to think there are people who visit these boards who suffer emotionally because they haven't lived up to the weight loss that others have been experiencing. I encourage you to celebrate your differences!! That's what makes you be YOU! The truth is everyone here was INCREDIBLY BRAVE to go through with the surgery, and EVERYONE is a success because of that. I remain hopeful that each of you is healthy and happy! My stats: - Surgery: October 25, 2005 - Starting weight: 290 lbs. - Today's weight: 194 lbs. - Total Loss: 96 lbs. I am close to the "century club," but not focused on it. I *AM* focused on the way my health has improved. Numbers are only a readily-available visual measurement -- the true measurement should be how you feel! I feel AWESOME compared to the miserable, house-bound, severely morbidly depressed person that USED to occupy this body!!! It shocks me now to recall how emotionally distant I had become -- distant to my own self. Many hugs to all of you -- -- Darcy

I dont post very much to this board, I spend a lot of time at www.wlsfriends.com, but I need all the help I can get..lol.. I am just like all of you - 6 months out now.. and here is my stats: Surgery: Oct 25th - 389 Current: 273 total loss: 116 pounds SO - what I am thinking after seeing all of your stats.. that I am not doing all that well.. Need some help!! lol...

Well, I guess it's my turn. I had surgery 10/7/04. Starting weight: 291 Today's weight: 186.6 Lost: 104.4 only 31.6 lbs til goal!! I'm down a total of 92 inches and am in a size 7/8 jeans and large or x-large tops depending on the cut. As for eating, I can eat pretty much anything, though in smaller amounts. Haven't really tried sweets, I seem to crave salty things instead, which I guess is better than sweets. I have been eating too many carbs this past week, so need to get away from that. I am amazed at how well everyone is doing. Even those of yall who think you are slow losers-- your not. It will catch up. I was a fast loser I think and now I am slowing down big time. My menstrual cycle is extremely messed up. I have been on a period for a month with a small break for about 4 days. Been back and forth to the gyno in the last several mos and went again today. We are working on a solution to this. He says hormones are stored in fat cells and the rate I am losing they are just going wild!! Problem is I get so bloated and retain water so bad when I am bleeding. Hope I get straight soon so I can start losing again. Here are my stats: Surgery Oct 7 Morning of Surgery 266 Current Weight 166 Total lost since surgery = 100 Started out in 24s and 22s Now in 12s and some 10s Everyone is doing great though.. We are all about the same!

Surgery: Oct 28 Starting weight: 485 Today's weight: 340 LOST: 145 I'm just so full of energy. Haven't been to the gym in a while, but I love walking up and down the aisle of stores. Still looking forward to that day when I can buy clothes of the rack, of a regular department store. I'm getting in all of my protein and water in. Sound like everyone is also doing well. Keep up the good work!

Surgery Date was Oct 28th Day of Surgery Weight was 221 I now weight 145 Lost 76 pounds I drink water, water, water and take all of my vitamins --- Workout at least 4 times a week sometimes 6 just depends on my schedule. I feel great and have two pairs of size 8 pants and the rest are 10 --- I'm hoping that if I continue my exercise I can fit my body into a size 6. I don't feel like I really need to lose anymore weight --- I just need to tone everything up.
