Hi all, I'm doing well and have finally gotten my exercise level up to where it should be including the weight training...yay! I've been a good girl for a couple of months with the exercise but I've plateaued and then gained a few pounds (which I'm hoping is muscle by the way). Otherwise, all is well...and I am really enjoying being a size 14! for the first time since high school! (...since 1991!) Starting weight 295 Surgery date 10/7/04 wt:283 6 months (minus a few days) : 206

Down another 2.4 pounds today since 4/1/05. So, guess the weight loss is picking up again. I increased water intake and exercise. Walked today at lunch and was able to mow part of my yard last night. That is the first time I've been able to mow the lawn for 3-5 years!!! Imagine getting excited about that. EASIER TO MOVE!!! High weight: 370 Surgery weight: 360 Today's weight: 277 Loss: -93 Goal: ??? - under 200 - hopefully 150-160

Hi! Janee! Congrats on your achievements. I too can now clean my house, cut the grass, etc. If I did not have the fibromalygia I would be a new person with lots of energy. But I don't let that stop me; isn't it great to live again, to feel human and when you look at yourself in the mirror you don't recognize that person at all and you feel great. 2 wks ago I tried on a size 16, yes size 16 sexy black lace dress and I could not believe how I looked, I was shocked it has been over 20 years since I looked that good. For once I felt beautiful and sexy, haven't felt that way in a long time. Its been an amazing journey. Starting wt 3/04= 310# Surgery date 10/14/04= 276# Today 6 mo. later!!!!= 191# You will have times when you will hit a plateau, then all of a sudden you'll start loosing again. That's what's happening to me. I feel like you do, even if I dont' loose another pound, I would not care. I love the way I feel and look now. Remember as you exercise, you gain muscle; but, you start loosing inches instead. I keep looking at myself in the mirror and I am still amazed as to where the boobs & booty went to include my shoe size as well. Everyone at work says I'm melting! We're so proud of you keep up the good work. ki

Raising Hand - Here! I'll be six months out on the 27th, and I've lost 80 pounds. Like you're all saying, the weight loss has slowed, but I'm very happy to be drown from a size 24 to a size 14 (I even have a pair of size 12 slacks I can wear, because they have the all-around elastic waist.) My blood pressure and cholesterol are completely normal now, with no medication. I love that! Now, if I could only have caffeine, I'd have a lot more energy... ;)
