OCTOBER ROLL CALL
Hey guys! Go****s been awhile since I've been to the boards...
Surgery: Oct 1st, just had my sixth month checkup
Weight then: 401
Now: 308
Loss: -93lbs! and 72+ inches
Inch-wise, I am actually smaller than I was when I met my husband almost five years ago, although weight-wise I am still fifteen pounds heavier. I am staring down the Century Club and determined to make it before my 29th birthday April 22nd.
One thing that I think has helped me the most during my journey is patience. I have my weeks when I think I should have lost more, or become frustrated by craving something and not being able to fulfill that craving. However, these times pass quickly and I just take it all in stride. I have fallen into a weightloss pattern of losing weight one week, pmsing and gaining back some weight the second week, losing the second week gain during the third week, and then finally losing again the fourth wee****il I unraveled this pattern, it was highly frustrating to see a gain and then stall for two weeks every month. Now I average about ten pounds a month, which is perfectly ok with me.
The hardest part has been the body adjustments. Every week I seem to be aching somewhere, my back my legs, whathaveyou and for about a month I had headaches every day that would not go away. But all in all, no complaints and I'm just enjoying the ride...

Hello October People!
Congratulations to each and every one of you. I know the journey has been hard, but we ALL have made a positive change whether you reached 100 pounds or 50 pounds, it doesn't matter - just keep focused on what made you have the surgery in the first place.
10/12/04 and I weighed in at 307
Now I weigh 227 (well, this morning it was 230 - but I am not claiming those 3 pounds (let's just say it was water gain) BUT ANYWAY, I feel great and my self confidence is back with a vengence!
I have my health back and I am most thankful for that! Be Blessed! And keep up the good work EVERYONE! Never be discouraged when you reach those plateaus, just increase your water and LEAVE THE BREAD ALONE! (I'm preaching to myself) : )

*goal- 155- im 5'8, the clothing issue is killing me, my hair loss is a neusiance, i dont seem to have the motivation for style any more. Its lucky that i even wear makeup still, i do go tan, i cut my hair shorter to help with the loss, but its agrevating. I am used to longer hair and dressing my best when getting out of the house.
