I think my favorite moment has been going shopping last Friday at Macy's and buying an outfit in the "regular" sizes and actually choosing between what looked cute instead of what would just cover up the worst parts. I also went to Disneyland last week and never got tired of walking and no blisters on my feet which was a problem for me in the past .

I forgot to put in my favorite WLS moment. It has to be when my husband told me that when the lights are out he has to keep reminding himself its me he is with. I asked him what he ment by this and he said, you've lost so much weight and with working out things aren't where I left them. Barbara

I really havn't had one yet, but I do experience day to day compliments and the difference in the mirror. You might say I have them all the time, LOL. Janice

Barbara, I too have noticed "things" are shifting on my body, kind of interesting to watch. I was getting in the shower the other day and reached for the soap on a upper shelf I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and could actually make out the outline of a few ribs! I have not seen that in years! Janice, I am also enjoying the compliments from others and recently at my daughters soccer game ran into some women I had not seen in a year so they were real surprised and complimentary of my new size.

Hi...good post! I think my favorite WLS WOW moment so far is the fact that I can actually see my wrist bone...it was covered by so much fat before, I didn't even know there was a knuckle/bone there. And also my rings all need guards. Since 2 months out from surgery I needed a ring guard on my engagement ring. My Hubby bought me a new wedding band for Christmas this year (our 5th Christmas together...our Wedding anniversary is in July 2005)...and it is two sizes smaller then my engagement ring. Woo hoo! Also, when I was only 2 month out, I bought a gold bracelet (in a normal size) and they had to remove two links from it, now I need two more links removed. Also I can no longer wear my ankle bracelet as it falls right down over my ankle (and off my foot). Will have to put it up for sale on e-Bay...LOL!!! Those are just a few of the WOW moments thusfar. Aside from the weekly ones of no longer fitting in outshrunk clothes!!! Take care and thanks for the post! Audrey

Very timely...my favorite WLS is almost the same as yours... last week I got back from vacationing at Disneyland in CA! and I have to admit that it was wonderful not having to worry about whether or not I would be able to fit on the rides or in the air plane seat! I was very surprised at how little all that walking tired me. My feet only really got sore on the last full day. While we were there, my sister said she was tired of seeing me in too big clothing so I went shopping when I came back and I actually bought something in the "normal" size dept!! and no one looked at me funny! Granted it was only a size 14 which I could have just as easily gotten in the plus dept but it was the fact that I could actually browse through the main dept displays and try on things that were in the display! and they fit! Has anyone else noticed that a size 14 in the plus dept is bigger than a size 14 in the regular women's dept? My final "AHHAAA" moment was being able to cross country ski without feeling like I was going to die at any moment. Not to mention the relatively pain free recovery the next morning....

Congrats on the shopping!!! I would always swear that the clothes in the "normal" dept. were soooo much cuter and the colors were yummy! Now I too shop the 14's!!! I am sooo happy too! The Womens sizes are bigger in the seat and thigh area and the Misses sizes are "regular" fit and Junior sizes are a trimmer, sleeker fit (for the straight up and down teeney boppers!). Hope this helps!! My WLS moment of late was when I wnet to my undies drawer(I had bought 2 pkgs of cute cotton undies that were sooo cheap, even though they were too small in Dec.) and couldn't find my usual big old undies, and picked up a new pair and looked at the seat in them and went," no way". Went to the bathroom(to hide and do this) and tried them on and they fit!!!!! I was in shock! i was wearing the old ones till they practically fell off me! Can't get that fat me outta the closet! Yipeeee!! Congrats janee cain
