those not in century club yet...
I am also a slow loser! Started at 278 and am now 222 for a total loss of 56 pounds. I am down from a tight 26 to a 22/24. I have lost 6 inches from waist and 6 or 7 from hips. I definately have more energy and feel more attractive but man do I wish I was losing as fast as some others are!! I know we are all different but it's hard not to be envious! We will get there we just have to practice our patience! If you ever need encouragement email me!
Hey PAchick76. I had my surgery on 10/05/04 so I am nearly 6 months out & I have lost 85 lbs so far. I'm like you, I'm wondering why I haven't hit the century mark either. I am told that it will come but I guess we are alike that we are impatient about it. I have alot to lose so I guess I want it off today. We just have to be willing to wait & we will get there. All we have to keep thinking about is how we will feel when we do. GREAT!!!!
Keep up the good work and YOU GO GIRL!!!!
Surgery was 10.26. I have lost 90 lbs. as of today, 3-27. It's exciting. I don't care if it's 50 or 90, or 100. I am losing, and feeling GREAT. Don't give up. I know that when I don't take my vitamins I don't lose. I only take a multivitamin. Nothing else. My labs were great. I just need to take iron every once in a while. Keep it up. Watch your portions. Sugars too.

Hey Girl,
I am so relieved that there are others that feel the same way. I have been getting so discouraged. My surgery was 10/06/04 and I started out at 277 and am now only at 220. I have to say I have been lucky in that I have not had any major medical complications from my surgery and would do it again in a heartbeat. I see now how difficult it was for me to lose weight before the surgery since it has been so slow afterwards. I know we all lose at our own rate but it gets quite frustrating. I drink all my water, take my vitamins, and try to get in all my protein. I have not been supplementing my protein with shakes any-more. Do any of you think maybe I should go back and do this? I have to say I feel better that I have in years and am no longer on any type of prescription medication. After I lost the first 40 pounds, I hit a plateau for about 4 weeks and then finally have lost another 17 pounds over the last two months. I feel like I am so far behind where I should be. Thanks to everyone for listening and any encouragement you may have.
