those not in century club yet...
Not I, said the little red hen. Surgery in October, now down "only" 65 pounds ... but also down 5 sizes, off 4 of 9 prescription meds, lost a half shoe size, GAINED incredible bounce and energy. Besides - we slower losers have a better chance (I believe) of really getting a grip on what it takes to lose and keep it off. The ones who lose like magic may have a hard time getting used to restricting their eating and increasing their exercise when it suddenly becomes necessary. Well, thinking that makes ME feel less impatient, anyway.

I have lost 72 pounds. I have just started to feel smaller even though I am down several clothing sizes. Last week I bought a pair of size 16 jeans and they were TOO big. That's when I really felt thinner. I haven't been this small since the 80s.
My advice is don't be concerned about the century mark. Pay more attention to the inches you have lost and be amazed.
Hi Jo,
I had surgery on 10.12.04 and I'm not in the centry club either....sigh
I'm down 70 lbs which is great, feeling better all the time. Even started back working out in Tae Kwon Do, so thats great.
... but I like you would love to be in the centry club, or even under 200 at this point would be great!! Good Luck and dont let it get you down.

278/208/145 ish maybe someday.
I have not lost 100 pounds and that is okay with me, I am happy with my 74 ponds. I am on the elliptical 30 minutes everyday and I am doing everything right and when I look in the mirror I am tickled pink as it looks like I lost 100 pounds. I am happy for the fast losers, they are typically younger, heavier, and some has had complications. I know I am older and my metabolism is shocked and I KNOW IT WILL COME OFF SOON. Also the fast losers are going to slow down and we can be here to console them that it is not the end of their weight loss journey. Have patience you will be at the century mark soon. Take care, Janice
You will get there! Just keep moving forward. I have not made the century club either. I have lost 80 pounds since 10/26/04. I am very happy about that.
Everyone here loses at a different pace. I think that is very normal. The ones who start out very large usually lose faster, but they have alot more to lose.
I think we all tend to worry too much when we compair our results to others. I do it all the time and am really trying hard to just focus on the fact that I am now smaller than I have been in many many years.
Keep up the good work you have been doing!

Hi Jo,
I'm only down 66 from 10/21/04. Feeling great, loving life and the sort of smaller me. I get frustrated alot too. Especially when I go 2 or 3 weeks without losing but then I'll hit that week where I drop a few pounds and I'll get a little more bounce in my step. Don't worry we'll make it.
