OCTOBER ROLL CALL
Hey October folks. It's that time again. Let's give ourselves a big pat on the back. Whether you have lost 10#'s or 100#'s, YOU ROCK!
If you want, let's do our monthly roll call. I thought this time besides the stats, what do you think has helped you lose weight? What issues are you having? What are you doing that might help others? Or just tell us what you are feeling.
Surgery: Oct 11
Weight then: 334
Weight now: 240
Loss: 94#'s (dang I want that 100!)
I think that I have been successful because I have followed my surgeons instructions to a "T". I still weigh and measure my food, never taking in more than 4 oz in a meal. I do not eat red meat or chicken, by choice. I love fruits and vegis and they love me! I have not conciously eaten processed sugar.
I also joined a gym and have a personal trainer. I feel like a big ole bowl of jello, jiggle, jiggle, jiggle.....and I can tell my skin is not going to bounce back. I finally broke down and bought a support garment. It is light weight and goes from above the knees to below the breasts, and it works! I wore it under a new dress today and got compliments all day. The clothing thing is driving me crazy. I have become obsessed with the clearance racks at Wallie World and K-May. I buy something and in a month it is hanging off me. I have given away hundreds of dollars worth of clothes and for the first time in years, my closets are 1/2 empty. I make it a habit of going through my closets every 2 weeks and get rid of everything that is too big. That is traumatic. I guess I am so used to the old Sheryl who always gained all the weight back! Even my feet have gotten smaller. I used to have to buy my shoes at a wide shoe store because of my big, fat feet. I can now buy regular shoes and they are comfortable!
Have I been babbling on.......
I feel truly blessed to have had this surgery.
Now let's hear how you are doing.
Sheryl
Hey everybody I have been so busy I havet had the time to come on and update my profile and decided today was the day.
I had surgery 10/22 my weigh in was 348lbs
I am now 4mths out and I am down to 265lbs
83lbs lost total so far and I am sssssssoooooooooo happy
I am in another world right now lmao
I would have never believed these results if I didnt live it myself.
For the most part everything has gone really well and I cant complaint about anything but I did develop and ulcer and thats has been a downer
but I havent allowed that to effect me in any way and I am standing strong to my day to day challenges with pride for what I have accomplished so far.
I am loving the fact I have dropped down to a size 20, my bra size has reduced dramaticly, my shoes are all getting bigger so I know this was the right move for me and I am happy.
I am working on my home business again so hopefully I will back doing parties this summer and having fun
Ladies I wish each and everyone as much success with their weight loss as possible I know its still along road but with all of this support how can we go wrong right :o-)
Looking forward to catching up with all the post and seing where everyone has gotten to so far
Enjoy

Hi Sheryl! I had my surgery on Oct.6th.
Weight before surgery 340.
Weight after surgery 248.
Loss of 92 pounds!
I feel better that I have lost the weight. I think I have done some of the things wrong over these 4 1/2 months. I am trying to change the wrongs as I type. I was not taking my protein supplements. I was not taking my vitamins. I just recently last month and a half started taking my iron, protein and vitamins. I am no where able to get the 64 oz of water we are supposed to get. I get 16 oz or 24 oz. I haven't started exercising yet. Although I have lost the 92 pounds I wasn't eating too good either because I wanted to lose the weight. me I had myself in starvation mode. I am getting better about the situation now. Thanks for letting me share.
Hello all! I am so frustrated reading all of the posts. I had my surgery on 10/6/04. I weighed 264 and am just now 214. That's only 50 pounds in 5 months and I lost 20 of it in the first month. I am exercising, getting most of my protein and taking my vitamins. I am anxious to get this off of me!!!! I do have some saggy skin, especially in my arms and my breasts are now down around my knees but I'll deal with all that when I lose all of the weight.
