HI! I'm 4 months out and have lost 64lbs since surgery and 91lbs since I started this journey. Don't worry about the platue. It's normal, you will not loose for a while and then all of a sudden you will start losing again. This is normal. Karen

How do you see losing 96 lbs in 4 months as trouble? Am I missing something? I've only lost 53 lbs since 10/5 and I'm grateful for every ounce lost. I've plateau'd for MONTHS. Good luck with those pesky 4 lbs... Count your blessings

Congratulations on your amazing weight loss. I had my LapRNY on 10/26/04 and started at 400 lbs and am now down to 329.75 and sometimes in a week the scale won't move but I have lost inches and gained muscle. Muscle weighs more then fat...can you believe that? Anyway, I hope that helps to answer your question somewhat as to why you haven't lost in two weeks. May I ask you about your diet (protein, carbs, and liquid) and exercise? You seem to be doing super great and I would love to know your secret. What are you eating to accomplish your daily protein and liquid requirement and to avoid all those carbs out there? What type of exercise do you do. I try and walk on the treadmill every other day and I do some swimming and water exercises per week. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am finding it hard to get all my daily protein in the form of food and find myself needing protein shakes to accomplish this. Thanks and hope to hear from you. Audrey

thanks for the help. i eat alot of protein in the way of low fat cheese, skim milk(low carb, has more protien) cottage cheese, meat meat more meat.... no real secret. i eat only low or no carb food. i have always been a big water drinker so that isn't a problem. i walk the treadmill, inclined, i ride my exercise bike and i have an ablounger, this was the best investment, can't do a crunch to save my life so this makes it easy. i have very little sagging skin from my belly, trust me there should be a ton of it, so i know that this helps alottttt. i climb stairs all the time now.i also drink the protien shakes occassionally. you are doing great with your weight loss also, so keep up the good work. if you have any other questions you can e-mail me at [email protected]'d love to chat with someone who is close to my surgery date. i like to hear how other's are doing. good luck. nan
