Hi Steve, A gall bladder is an organ that produces bile to help with food digestion. I had mine removed over 10 years ago because of stones. I had a lot of pain with it and have had no side effects from not having one. I felt 100% better after it was out. Barbara

Hello Steve: From the last reply you see that the Galbladder is the organ that produces bile that helps the body digest foods. I had mine removed during surgery, I had a diseased gallbladder for over ten years. I am glad that mine has been removed. It is an organ that we can live without and for those of us that have problems with it I can just say from my experience I am glad that mine was removed. I hope that your results turn out possitive, Curtis
