Vitamin Questions
I am a huge advocate for every woman in her child bearing years to take prenatal vitamins. No matter what. My husband and I lost a pregnancy at 18 weeks due to a severe birth defect which most likely would have been prevented with a sufficient amount of folic acid PRE pregnancy. After conception is too late for many forms of nueral tube defects (spina bifida). Prenatals are great for that.
ALWAYS TAKE FOLIC ACID!!! If need be, just add a folic acid tablet to your regular vitamin. Just my $.02

My surgeon and nutrionist fully support taking prenatal vitamans at 1 month out.. i did the childrens chewables and then moved to prenatal.. it is the best for getting everything you need... your ins should cover the prescription...or you can buy them over the counter... i have a prenatal with a stool softener... really helps alot.. but that one you have to have a Rx for I believe.... Hope that helps..
