Hello All, I finely got to join Curves. I have my first work out at two this afternoon. So far I haven't been able to exercise much other than walking. And its been a pleasure doing that. I can walk all around Super Wal-Mart now insted of using a ride on cart. My weight loss is so slow. I've lost 49# and I'll be 4 months out on the 8th. 19.5# of that was in the first two weeks. I hope going to Curves will build some lean muscle an give my metabolism a big boost. Has anyone else had the same experience? Barbara

HI Barbara. I am right here with you. I am down exactly 50 pounds since surgery. My dr said he only expects me to lose 5 - 7 pounds per month now (claims slower loss with lower starting weight) So in his eyes, I am right on track. I have only lost 5 pounds since Christmas!!! I go to Curves at least 3 times per week, usually more....and on the days I don't go, I do an exercise video at home. I give up wondering what else I can do to lose faster - I eat right, take my vitamins & protein supplement, drink 64 oz of fluids and work out daily.....there is nothing left for me to figure out. I guess I will just lose slowly. I just can't wait for the warm weather so I can get outside. I love New England, but I have never wanted a winter over so badly! Jenn 232/182/140

Hello Jennifer, I love that name, my granddaughter's is Jennifer May. I try not to get to discuraged with the slow loss. My surgeon told me light weighters lose slower but are more likely to make their goal. I hold on to that thought very tightly and keep plugging along. Do you take your measurments? I have watched mine go down each month and that helps keep me on track. Barbara
