Come on folks... Dont you want to be accountable for what you eat? Dont ya want to tell me what I ate was bad? Dont ya wanna talk about stuff we are eating.... Lets be a group and post our foods. You may be eating something good that I never thought of. It would give me a nice change. I see 10-15 reads on my posts but not 1 reply...Come on now... Get with it!
My plateau has broken... This morning I weighed 200.5. ALmost under 200. Its going to be great! Havent been there in a long time.

I agree! It would be really cool to see more activity on this site. I am more interested in having communication with people that had surgery the same month as mine. It is sometimes depressing because I am such a slow loser but I like to see where everyone is at and what they are doing so that maybe I can try something different and get some good ideas and advice.

B= 1/3 of small blueberyy(fake) muffin w/ butter ( gotta have something on my stomach before my shake)
(20min. later) protein shake (40gm) YUK!!! hate them!!!
10 grapes to take away the taste (it's the only way I can drink them is to plug my nose and then eat fruit after as a reward!)
SN= ice tea w/ lemon, 2 glasses(over morning)
L= 1/2 of W.W. swedish meatball entree (not hungry)
Sn(planned)= sunflower seeds
D= aint there yet!
Yesterday
B= 1/2 PBJ(fruit only Jelly, w/o crust)
SN= protein shake w/ 10 grapes
iced tea
L=beef stew lean cusine type( remember ??? the name) really good!!
SN= ice tea, water and Wheat nuts 1/4 c.
late afternoon= Protein shake and grapes again!!
Late dinner= Chicken Kabobs... breast meat, pears,onions,apples,red peppers,mushrooms, sprayed w/ pam and seasoned, baked in oven on skewers!!Yummmmm. only ate 1 small pc. of chicken(can't eat it anymore!) but veggies and fruit were wonderful!!
My husband loves the new cooking! Sometimes I baste w/fruit jusice.
Can ya tell I love ice tea!!!??? I can once in awhile drink a little sugar free pop if it's iced and sits for a while! Love Dt. Mt. Dew and Dt. Ruby Red Squirt.
I have to drink water w/ my meals, I crave it and most food has a hard time going down.
I have found a new love for fruit! It's so weird how much I love the taste of it again! Veggies have new respect too! I love to experiment with seasonings and ways to utilize them!
I now have been having an affair w/ red grapes! Before this it was pears.
I don't dump on freit at all, but refined sugar gets me!!

What protein shake do you drink that has 40 grams of protein. Girl, I need that. That would make it so much simpler...
I still sip with my meals. I know I shouldnt and it was one of my resolutions to stop but I try and sometimes I can... sometimes I cant. Depends on the meal.
I know what you mean about fruit. I think its cause we are craving the sweetness and the liquid part of the fruit. I myself have been addicted to fresh pineapple. I chew it up and swallow the juice and then spit out the actual pineapple. I dont want to clog anything up! Plus the fruits are so high in carbs. But, I cant help it.
Before surgery I loved sweet iced tea. Now that I cant have the sugar and I dont like the artificial sweetners (they are a hunger stimulant BTW)... I have acquired a taste for UNSWEET tea no sweetners but it has to be very cold! Its pretty good. I bought the crystal light tea but havent made any yet. The regular crystal lites used to be so good to me but now they are so sweet and I cant drink much of them. I am like you---sugar gets me--and when it does -it is BAD!
I do on occassion drink my diet dr pepper -- nowhere near as I did before. Last night I opened a canned diet coke-took 1 sip and didnt touch it again. Wasted my .50 cents.. haha... I shouldve been drinking my water anyway.
We are all bonded now--- we have our surgery dates so close. We have to talk to each other.. We are the only ones who understand!
Hey Christine - I use the Amino Infusion 5000 - you can either take staright shots, like medicine, or mix it with water. 1 tbsp = 5 gr protein. I mix 6 tbsp with 16 oz water and I have no problem getting that down - it doesn't taste medicainal, or like protein drink...its mild, not wicked sweet (although its very sweet if you take it straight). I had such huge issues with the protein drinks right after surgery. The Amino Infusion has saved me. I thought maybe I was over the whole "gag" thing, so I recently tried to make a Nectar shake and the smell of it made me dry heave. So i have 2 big buckets of the crap I bought pre-op LOL What a waste. Anyway - the Amino is a little strong to take it straight - but if you have a hard time, its easy enough to swallow one tbsp at a time! I like to mix mine iwth the water so it forces me to get that 16 oz of liquid in. Some days, that was the only liquids I got!
Lately, I have been craving milk. I drink about 10 - 20 oz a day, I think. And I have tried soda too - I do ok, I stirred it up (I always did that though I LOVE flat Diet Coke) but I was so nervous about it, it wasn't worth it.
Anway - I am always watchign to see who asks about protein drninks since mine was such a good solution for me.
