What did you eat today?
TGIF - its been a long week and I am really looking forward to this weekend. I am finally feeling so much better.....no more flu or bronchitis or colds...
B - decaf tea
S - few bites of Chef Boy Ardee mac & cheese (still can't seem to stay away from nibbling on foods I prepare for the kids)
L - 2 slices home made pizza, only a few bites of the crust though, mostly ate the sauce & cheese
D - Smart Ones "Truth About Carbs" Salisbury Steak & asparagus (200 cal, 9 g fat, 9 carbs and 20 protein!!) I ate all but 1/4 the steak. VERY GOOD!!! I discovered these low carb ones last night at the grocery store and they've all got 20 or more gr protein! I am loving that!
S - protein drink
Totals - 623 cal, 18 fat, 48 carbs, 68 protein. A bit high on the carbs thanks to the mac & cheese, but I am not worried. I have not lost a single pound since Dec 29 - more than 2 weeks. Well, I have been having huge bathroom issues if you kwim.....so I finally could not stand that bloated feeling anymore and I took 2 tsp of mineral oil today (prescribed for my son, who is always wicked constipated) and within 10 minutes, I was in so much pain. The cramps were unreal, but they only lasted a few minutes and I am happy to report I think I have been "cleaned out". I about cracked the porcelain, let me tell ya'. Oh ya, Thank You Lord! I've gone about....six times since then and I really can't wait to get on that scale tomorrow morning. Now that I've entertained you with more information than you ever wanted to know......

Hi guys! I just found this message board and want to join in if that's okay. I had my duodenal switch surgery on Oct. 1, 2004. I'm VERY happy so far with my progress and how easy life seems to be without miserably thinking about how fat I am and what can I do about it all the time! This is so easy that it all seems too good to be true and I am afraid I am going to wake up and find out this has all been a dream! Anyway....this is what I've eaten today....
B - 1/2 Tuna Salad sandwich (I never eat breakfast for breakfast)
S - 1 small baked sweet potato and a handful of cashews a little later.
L - 2 tacquitos dipped in picante sauce and queso dip
My next snack will be a protein bar.
D - will be grilled Kabobs with steak and onion and zuccini and yellow squash.
Before bed....usually a yogurt.
I drin****d tea all day and can't get the hang of water...but I drink a ton of iced tea! Hope that works! And I snack on nuts all throughout the day. Sometimes mixed nuts....sometimes peanuts....sometimes pistachios (sp?) .....right now....I have a hankerin' for cashews! YUM!!!
