I am right in the middle of a WOW moment! I decided to clean my closet out tonight and I figured it was time to try EVERYTHING on. Well, it is going along well. It has been very nice seeing that everything fits and some are too big. Then I tried on a double breasted blazer that I used to wear ALL of the time about 8 or 9 years ago, and all of the sudden it hit me... I am smaller than I was 10 years ago! The jacket was TOO BIG!!! I can't believe that at 31 I am smaller than I was at 21! It was a really big WOW moment for me! Thanks for letting me share! Amber 304/238/?

That is great news. Congratulations! I, too, got the closet-cleaning bug this weekend. I'm just now having my 30/32s get too big, and it's a wonderful (although quite foreign) thing. I boxed all the clothes that were too tight/small and will enjoy actually "opening" them when I go down to the next size. Plus, it makes finding something to wear so much faster.

Congratulations and enjoy!!! I love going into my closet and finding things I didn't fit in 2.5 months ago and now it is like I have a new wardrobe since I have all types of sizes in my closet!

Congratulations!!! I can totally understand what you mean. My closet is full of clothes I could wear five years ago, before I had my rapid weight gain. I use the day I first met my husband as my point of reference these days (my second "mini" goal is to get back to the weight I was when I met him). Anyway, today we're supposed to have a real cold snap set in and the temps are going to be dangerously cold by the time I get off work so I knew I had to dress warm. Well, the only really warm clothes I have in my closet are 26/28's, what I was wearing 5 years ago. I thought to myself "there is no way I can fit into those right now" knowing that I have another thirty pounds to lose before I get back down to the weight I was when I met my husband. But, I decided to try it anyway and the sweater fit! Not to take the wind from your sails, but I just wanted to say that today the same thing happened to me!!! Now, when we can get rid of all the clothes in our closet and replace it with a whole new teeny tiny wardrobe (I am so looking forward to jeans that aren't so heavy that they bend the hangers down) we'll have MUCH to celebrate! Woohoo for us!!!! Oh happy day! Rachel

Rachel, That is WONDERFUL!!! We have a lot more to look foreward to! I know exactly what you mean about the jeans! Speaking of jeans, you reminded me of a time when I was in fourth or fifth grade, I was helping a friend put her clothes away and I couldn't actually believe that any human could actually fit into her jeans. It was/is so foreign for me to see "normal" sized clothes, I guess I just never knew anything other than being overweight. Around that time I could pretty much wear my mother's clothes! Just the idea of having jeans that aren't huge and weigh 20 pounds seems so unreal to me. I actually can't even remember the last time I weighed 235lbs. It is sort of freaking me out! Fasten your seatbelt Rachel, you are about to have a ton of WOW moments! Good luck and congratulations on your accomplishments thus far! Stay warm! Amber

THAT IS GREAT!!! I had a pair of jeans that have been hanging in my closet for 1 1/2 years waiting for me to wear again. I tried them on a month after my surgery, and almost could wear them. Tried them on again 3 days ago, can't wear them! I can put both hands down INSIDE of the jeans. Got a new pair from friend that is several sizes less then I used to be. Enjoying getting different clothes. Not buying anything new yet, hope to lose more. I have only lost 63lbs in 3 months.

Hi Diana, Thanks! Boy, that is wonderful about your jeans! Keep it up! I hope you don't mind, but I would like to rewrite your last sentence.... it should read.. I have lost 63lbs in ONLY 3 months! You sound like you are discouraged. Really think about this... 63 lbs. in 3 months... that is wonderful! Try not to lose perspective you have a long way to go, remember the weight loss window is 12 to 18 months. If you have lost 63 lbs. at three months, imagine what you could still lose in the next 15 months!!!! Keep up the good work! Amber
