found my answer to protien problem
I know myself and some of the others have been stuggling to get protien powders down. I tried allot of different powders including the Nector everybody here talks about. (by the way anybody here likes it I have a couple you can have they are going to waste) say something maybe we can figure something out. any way I bought some unflaverd protien added some to egg this morning once my omlet was made i figure I at least dubled it's protien amount and niether the consitency or the taste changed, it also stayed down wahoo. I shopped around looking for what seemed like a good product and price the one I went with was Nutrabiotics I got 5 pounds for 33 bucks including shipping with 21 grams of protien per serving and they say 5lbs is almost 90 servings. So now I can have my Cake and my protien to lol
David,
I don't like the nector either. I have tried Pro Line Elite in butter cream toffee and love it with coffee. I also bought a Magic Bullet, and it's wonderful! It mixed the protein up well with ice, and you can't taste it!
I just found a place that sells 5 pounds containers for 24.99!!!!!!!!!!! Orders over 50.00 ship free! Yahooooo

Nectar is a protein drink power that is flavored with fruit type flavors. It's available on the web. I didn't like it, but alot of people do.
I believe there is no "good tasting" protein out there!!
Or I haven't found one yet!
Unflavored protein is supposed to be mixed with other things and be less noticeable in foods and drinkds. You can cook with it or mix it in liquids. I just got some myself and am going to try it out in different things.
I pray this works, cause I've had soooo many problems with protein drinks and bars and.... I hate them all!!
I try to get my protein from foods I eat, but my goodness Id'e be eating all day long if I did!
Hope this helps, and let me know if you find a good product!

I have not taken any protien drinks or powders. I used to eat a lot of beef jerky before the surgery. I asked my doctor about still being able to eat beef jerky, and they said no problem, just chew it good.
Jerky is 97% fat free, 2 grams total carbohydrates per serving, and very high in protien. For example, if you are on a 2000 calorie diet, one serving has 50g of your daily requirement, according to the package. It show per gram: Fat 9, Carbohydrates 4, Protien 4. It also has 10% of your Iron. A serving size is 1 oz, or 28g. It seems to be helping me. Sometimes, it is the only thing that does not hurt or make me feel too full. Hope this suggestion helps, but please, ask your doctor first.
